Dr. James G. Howard has been caring for my wife Celeste for 5 years now. We feel so blessed to have him in our lives knowing that he will do anything for us to treat Celeste with the best care available. Her condition is pretty serious and he has guided us every step of the way. We will be forever in his debt for saving her eye and vision. There isn't a more knowledgeable and capable doctor and surgeon.

Poor experience. Unexperienced front office, very slow. A major workup was done for patient but then the doctor vanished into thin air for a couple of days at a conference. No calls, text, email or anything to help comfort the patient in time of worry and stress. All the lab test are done within the Intermountain family which was great, but the Retina Associates of Utah even gave EACH lab the wrong phone number of contact for the patient, so we had to call and double check everything. Truly disappointing, especially when considering these are specialists. Unacceptable.
