I have seen 3 doctors at this office, Dr Brockbank, Dr Richey and Dr Hamilton. All three have been kind, thorough, efficient and overall wonderful. The staff is attentive and caring as well. I would give more stars if I could.
Never coming back.
Even though the prescription was signed by the doctor, he wasn't the one who actually prescribed it or verified it was correct.
Let me show you why this place completely lost my trust:
September 2023 (Costco / Ridder Optometry): My vision was perfect with the prescription they gave me, no issues at all.
September 2025 (Revere Health Ophthalmology): I went in for a new exam, got my glasses made ($300!)... and couldn't see anything. The difference was massive. I usually adjust fast, but these were just wrong.
My gut told me something was off, so I went to America's Best for a second opinion, and guess what? The doctor there immediately found the correct prescription.
How does this even happen?!
In 2023 at Costco by the DOCTOR, my numbers were:
Sph OD +1.25 / OS +0.75
Cylinder -3.25 / -2.75
Axis 005 / 001
At Revere Health, the ASSISTANT gave me:
Sph OD -2.50 / OS -2.25
Cylinder +2.75 / +3.00)
Axis 097 / 096
So somehow, I went from positive to negative in both eyes in two years? That's not just a mistake, that's careless.
Then at America's Best (October 2025), the DOCTOR confirmed my corrected prescription:
Sph OD +0.75 / OS +0.75
Cylinder -3.25 / -3.00)
Axis 005/ 002
Bottom line: This place handed me the wrong prescription, and didn't even have the doctor double-check the results. INSANE.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Without informing me at all, this clinic changed to a non-network clinic, meaning they do not take any separate eyecare insurance. I loved my doctor, but the clinic and Revere Health itself are the issue. I had seen these guys before with my insurance, and my appointment was fully paid for. Come this year, I got billed over 300 dollars and was shocked when it came through. After lots of phone calls, I found out from my insurance that they never renewed their policy with them and didn't tell me my insurance wouldn't be taken. To make it worse, they took my insurance for eye care off my records when it was put on there last year, and then didn't say anything to me about it. They took off 100 off my bill, but that's no help when you're a college student who only made the appointment because they thought they wouldn't owe anything. These guys cut corners, removed my secondary insurance from eye care without informing me, and don't inform their patients of changes in their polices at their clinic just so they can keep patients.
Everyone was so helpful. I was in and out so quickly. They really helped me figure out insurance costs and the best solution for my particular needs.
My experience getting a routine checkup was (at first) great, everyone was kind and helpful and Dr. Richey was great in the appointment, told me everything looked perfect and that I'd "see for decades." However, despite not being diagnosed or treated during the appointment, the office attached a diagnosis to my insurance bill so now my insurance won't pay for it and Revere is trying to stick me with the bill. Despite 10+ phone calls to different departments and confirming with my insurance, this still hasn't been taken care of. It feels really inappropriate for them to bill me for something that didn't happen at the appointment. I won't be returning.
Dr Michael Hamilton was brash and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder during the entire appointment, so we won't return. He belittled my wife for something from years ago, and she doesn't feel comfortable returning for his care. It's too bad Dr Brockbank is out on leave for a mission. I've heard Dr Ritchey is good as well.
I really liked Dr. Brocknank he was very personable and through. Unfortunately for me he is now on a mission and some other guy is filling in. Im not impressed with the new guy, he is not very friendly as far as his bedside manner. He spoke maybe a handful of times and that's pushing it. I have no idea how my eyes are, He just kept doing more eye tests then wanted to schedule cataract surgery without explaining why it was such a rush to get it done. Dr. Brocknank had told me they weren't that bad and there was no hurry to have it done. I will not let this new guy touch me, and I will not be going back to this office. I do not recommend this office at all...sorry!
Checking with the front desk in person and the phone prior about insurance coverage is not enough, I'll assume they were just trying to keep a patient, but it feels like I was lied to. Ended up paying a lot out of pocket for this. Dr. Richey was nice, however.
