Dr. Gilbert C. Wong, MD

Dr Wong is a very knowledgeable doctor and takes his time to help you understand everything he is doing. I just had both eyes done in the last month for cataracts and he did an amazing job. Both in the office and bedside. He is a very caring doctor.

Dr Wong did surgery on my left eye. My cataract had grown enough to be worked on. He explained things step by step. I am so pleased with the outcome and with his work ethic. I'm so grateful a friend recommend him to me.

Dr Wong is amazing! He is very thorough And explains everything completely. I went to see him worried about by increasingly blurred vision and he took great care and time to make sure I was comfortable with the plan of care and that all my questions were fully answered. I would 100% recommend him and I'm a patient for life!

I saw Dr. Wong a week ago and was very impressed by his eye exam. He did further testing and found macular degeneration that no other doctor saw. He also said my cataracts can now be covered by my insurance to remove them. Very impressed by his knowledge and thoughtfulness.

Dr Wong is an amazing opthamologist. He explains things and is thorough. I had PRK several years ago (with another clinic) and Dr Wong has done a better job addressing my concerns than any other doctor I've seen. Also the staff is amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable abd I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes.

Dr. Wong and his staff have always been attentive to our needs. He is always very kind and explains treatments in ways that I can understand. His staff is very accommodating for appointments, especially since I live an hour away. Also, my husband had an emergency; he couldn't see out of one eye. Dr. Wong got him right in. So, we are grateful.

I have been going to the eye doctor since I was in 1st grade and have never had a negative experience until I went to this office. I never leave negative reviews and I'm generally easy to please but this office was an awful experience. While the assistants were nice, they tried to recall everything they needed to do and ask me from memory. Both times they forgot to do or ask things in my pre-examination. Dr. Wong was nice but ended up giving me the wrong prescription, which has never ever happened to me. It wasn't wrong enough where I could notice a huge difference until months later when my eye strain was so bad I could barely see. I went back and he admitted he probably gave me the wrong prescription and gave me a second one, which was wrong again. When I called to talk with the receptionist about it, she was hostile and mean and acted like she knew the situation and that it was my fault. I spent almost $300 dollars on contacts and glasses from the first wrong prescription and when I asked if I could get a discount on the second prescription, I was told they would be unable to help me. Needless to say, I will not go back and I honestly don't recommend this office.
