I just wanted to say I had an amazing experience here. I'm visiting for vacation and I forgot my glasses at home, so I decided to get an eye exam and try to get contact lenses too (Because I never use it before, so I want to try too). They were super thorough and professional, and everyone was really friendly. I genuinely recommend this place to anyone.

From the minute, I walked in and was greeted by Marisa the receptionist I felt like I had been there before even though I've not been to this particular location. Megan, the technician who ran me through the initial phases of my visit was very knowledgeable as well. Dr. Matriccino was a thorough and thoughtful professional throughout my time with her and listened to my concerns. Finally, Jenna the eyewear consultant patiently worked through ordering my eyewear, even though I had to take an important phone call in the middle of her work. Overall, the staff was amazing and so was my experience at this office. I Highly recommend this office and will be referring others here as well.

I have been going to MyEyeDr at Sachem Place in Charlottesville for many years. I have always had great experiences, starting with the reservation to the check-in to the physical evaluation and the selection of glasses. I've also had times when I needed a repair on my glasses and they went above and beyond to fix them.

I've been coming to the Sachem location for years and always had a good experience. The staff here is so friendly and always helps me get the best possible price for contacts (shout out Jenna who saved me a ton today!). There are locations closer to my house but I always come here for the friendly environment and trustworthy staff.

Marissa was amazing. Friendly helpful and extremely efficient. I came in with an idea of what type of glasses I wanted and she was able to find exactly what I had in mind. Best customer service hands down.

My eye exam this week was a mixed-bag of experience; mostly positive. I had been excited, eager and grateful to find a practice that would not make pupil dilation mandatory for an exam. My long-term eye doc, who is wonderful, insists on dilation each time. I didn't have the bandwidth for it this year and wanted an alternative, which MyEyeDr could accommodate! Yay! Thank you. Initially, the phone reception women including Marissa and someone else were extremely helpful and kind. What a difference to get met with friendly voices and personalities on the phone as your initial introduction to a new practice! Makes such a positive impression. My long-term eye doc is super friendly and so are the techs, but some of the reception phone team are snippy and sound like they'd rather not be answering the phone! When I arrived, I was greeted immediately by Megan, the tech gal who handled all the prep testing, checked and cleaned my glasses (thank you ) and ran me through the machines and eye-health questions. Thorough and competent, friendly but not very inviting. The doc, Dr Matriccino was efficient, thorough, knowledgeable, answered all my questions and concerns. She came across as very matter-of-fact. I am a nervous nellie around all medical types of practices, which I told her. When techs and docs are warm, caring and inviting, it makes a huge difference in how I can relax and feel safe. I understand that warmth and feeling safe might not be a criteria for techs and docs to have a successful, efficient practice, but it is for me as a patient. I appreciated the alternative, as a work-around to dilation, of their photo machine which provided the doc with a close-up of a "freckle/nevus" spot on one eye, so thank you for that. The other most helpful tip that Megan provided was to ask for a 1/2% pupil dilation solution for light-colored eyes in the future, she said that it takes longer for the effect, but also has a faster recovery time. I appreciated this very much. Checking out was easy and again I was met with the warm Marissa, thank you! I will probably not return, instead will return to my other eye doc who makes pupil dilation mandatory, but now I will ask for the 1/2% solution (thanks to Megan) and will be met with a very warm, caring doc with whom I feel safe and comfortable. No matter how busy he is, he takes time to give me a hug and a big smile. The techs are also caring and joke around with me. Sometimes it's good to try something new just to have a greater appreciation for what I had all along. Thank you MyEyeDr for a very helpful, thorough eye exam when I needed one and for your professionalism.

The care team was extremely friendly. They took me back quickly and explained everything we were going to do clearly and respectfully. Suzanne & Jacqui were phenomenal. My last experience at an eye doctor wasn't a pleasant one so I hadn't been in almost 10 years for an eye exam. After my visit to Dr Matriccino I look forward to going back again! Keep up the great work.
