Dr G. Has been my doctor for a lot of years. On an icy day, with the attached parking lot pictured, I made it in at 11:09am. The receptionist pulled my information and papers then said I needed to reschedule because it was 11:10. I understand I'm late today. I also understand there are circumstances that should warrant flexibility. I'm understanding of your crappy parking lot right in front of the entrance. Maybe you could be understand I took my time getting in and WAS inside before 11:10.
This was one of the most uncomfortable customer service experiences I've had in a long time.
We came in for an eye exam, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was unpleasant. With the exception of the doctor, every staff member we interacted with, from the front desk to the optical and checkout area, seemed unhappy, unwelcoming, and irritated. It genuinely felt like no one wanted to be there.
Most of the younger staff avoided eye contact, barely spoke, and had visibly annoyed expressions. Simple questions were met with short, impatient responses, with no effort to explain anything to first-time customers.
The worst interaction was at checkout. The male staff member assisting us was extremely disengaged and dismissive. There was almost no communication at all, no guidance, no explanation, just a rushed, annoyed attitude that made us feel like we were bothering him by asking basic questions.
This was our first visit, and it will absolutely be our last. We left feeling frustrated and unwelcome, and we've already decided to switch to a different eye care provider next time. If employees truly don't want to work with customers, they shouldn't be in customer-facing roles.
Very disappointing experience overall.
I have lived in C'ville for about 10 yrs and finding new doctors had been a real challenge. I've been to ophthalmologists, a neuro-ophthalmologist (who of course do not fit for contacs) and finally found Dr. Henderson, optometrist, and his Team. My appointment was as thorough as any of the others and more! Everyone is a "standout", but I would like to recognize Dwayne, a complete gentleman, professional, courteous, polished and proficient young man. Just an overall great experience and I highly recommend MyEyeDr. and Michael Henderson!

From the moment I walked in the door I had a great experience. Dwayne checked me in for my visit. I then was taken back for all my pre exam testing. Dr Janice is great, she answers all my questions. I do not feel rushed or just another patient. After my visit I was met back with Dwayne and he helped me with ordering my trial contacts. Once my trail contacts were delivered I came in to the office, Dwayne took his time in walking me through the process of putting in my contacts and removal. I have been coming to this location since moving to the area and I would not go anywhere else for my eye care.
I have been getting my eyes checked here for a couple years and they are just wonderful. The staff are so friendly and so so helpful. The technician I had instantly made me feel at ease, and Dr. DiGirolamo is so quick and professional. Ms. Robinette helped me pick out my glasses and gave me so many great options and good advice. Seriously can't recommend this place enough, so kind and such high quality service.
The people who work here are awful. They aren't organized and would new people that came in and not those who have been waiting. I just went to get my glasses tightened and the woman's attitude was awful. She came back after tightening my glasses saying the screws were already tight and I let her know they were falling off of my face. She said well that's a different story and went on to help someone else. There are other MyEyeDr's on the area. If you want awful customer service go here!
I booked an appointment on-line for Dr. Henderson and when I got to the office I was told I did not have an appointment. When I told her I booked it on-line the receptionist just said that explains it, the website doesn't work. She also said that if you fill out your medical information on-line they don't get it so you have to fill it out again in the office.
In order for me to see a doctor today, the day that I had made my appointment, I now have to go across town to a different office and doctor.
