Incredibly rude staff! We were the only customers in the store and it seemed like we interrupted the staff's conversation to inquire about a price check for a pair of glasses I liked. We walked up to the receptionist desk asking how to make an appointment and were told in a very condescending tone to talk to Taylor. Taylor apparently either hates her job or me as a customer. When I asked about the predicted price for the frames I wanted, she didn't even look at her laptop. She just said, "Umm about $200-250." Couldn't even get an exact price check. We were very nice and were not treated with the same respect. We felt like our service was not wanted at all, so we are going to take our business somewhere else. Extremely disappointed.

You need a hard copy of your prescription in order to get glasses. They are unable to access their own website to help you order glasses without a prescription. They will do the best they can to help you if you don't have a prescription. Lots of frames to choose from. You can get prescription sunglasses. Safety glasses for kids and adults. Contact lenses available. They will give you a free eye exam if you order 2 pairs of glasses. Poor knowledge and helpfulness are my reasons for the three star review in regards to the prescription requirement.

I just moved into the Chesapeake area from Washington and broke my glasses by putting them into a soft case. I am so thankful for Angie at the Portsmouth shop who with excellent expertise fixed my glasses to get me by till I get an appointment in a new town. Thank you so much Angie

First, the good; staff that were on-site were friendly, attentive and helpful.
The bad; showed ups at 5:20pm for 5:30 appointment-informed it would be a virtual appointment (). Was seen fairly quickly for the initial testing. At approximately 5:50 I began waiting to see the online doctor. At 6:40, I was brought into the exam room, at 6:50, finally saw the doctor. This level of service is not at all what I have come to expect from ABC&E.
When I called customer service, was placed on hold for 10 minutes just to leave a VM.
Don't know what's going on with them, not sure I will go back

RUDE staff! I came in for an appt. I was told they didn't accept my insurance... when I explained that the she was looking at the wrong part of my card and that I was in network, I was rudely cut off and told that I was out of network. She didn't even take a second look at the card.

Just drove an hour to an appointment they canceled once I got there. I told them everything going on with my child including dob just to drive an hour + traffic to arrive in suffolk and then tell me oh well we can see your child. I wouldn't recommend this place. If they treat you like this trying to get service I can't imagine the service. No one really cared either it was like oh well. Highly disappointed with my first interaction with this company!
