I'm literally sitting waiting to be seen by Dr. Hallberg. But one of his nurses (pre doc assessment) Gina was very sweet, personable, and thorough. I will update on the next steps. PS, check in was seamless and quick (as long as you have all your info in tow).
Angie was tech and she was amazing. Great bedside manner and answered all my questions and updated my chart accordingly. Yes, I work here but when I get my eye exams I too am treated at the level and care that we give to our patients. Dr Hallberg was very thorough and answered my questions in regards to contact lenses and helped me to decide which route would best benefit me. I look forward to purchasing contact lenses soon.
Excellent and efficient admission process and staff. My appointment started within 5 minutes of my arrival and moved through the process smoothly. My concerns and questions were answered. I departed feeling good about my eyesight and the care it receives.
The staff are great. Friendly, warm, inviting, and they explained each step of my eye exam. I've been attending Southside Eye Care for quite sometime and I've always been pleased. I highly recommend them. First class for sure.
Dr Keverline has been my ophthalmologist for over twenty years. He and his staff have always been professional, polite, and caring. Dr Keverline has taken time to answer all my questions and explain necessary procedures. He performed cataract surgery in 2008 and inserted an artificial lens in each eye. Since then, I have not worn glasses for any task requiring vision. He is a top-notch professional, and I highly recommend him to those who wish to have the finest of eye care.
This is strictly a preliminary review as i have been to see Dr. Keverline once and get to go "under the knife" (although tiny) on the 17th and 24th of this month, with a couple interim visits prior.
Offices: Very well kept, medical professional.
Office staff: Polite and attentive
General Medical staff: Compassionate, give good detail and confident.
Dr. Keverline: A very "no-nonsense" professional as my father used to say. He assess the situation, assembles the facts and provides options with explanation. From my hunting around i find he is highly rated. There are a few things i would like to find out such as surgeries/yr, % of surgeries with premium lenses, complication rates, and what if it turns out that the lens for whatever reason is not a good fit, though i find these items superseded by his confidence and command.
"Scheduling": Whoa. That is an underrated title for this young lady, Lisa Telles. She is part mom, technical expert and coordinator.
Though i know this is biology and things can happen for undiscovered or surprise circumstances as we all are different, and i know that i am not going to come out of this with 20/10 vision and perfect clarity across all bands and aspects of my vision as i had in my younger days, if my vision comes out as well as these folks all seem i will be very pleased indeed.
Will update when warranted, praying to keep them at a "5"!
09/19/25 With the left eye done yesterday i am writing this without glasses. The right eye still introduces fuzz so i see the screen better when i close it. With long rang vision the right eye effects are minimal. Dr. Keverline's methods somehow negate the need for drops for reasons unknown at this time, but i can live with that... I was given oral sedation with an IV inserted jic i needed stronger, went in and he started preparing my eye for the surgery. Then he said some equivalent that i was all done.
Presently completely paranoid over doing something stupid to mess up the healing and trying to be careful around our very playful lab; her skull is even harder that mine. There are three major critical phases: The measurements (Thank you Lisa!), the operation (Thank you Dr. Keverline!), and not screwing up the recovery process - tbd...
Right eye on 09/24, to be continued-
09/30: Still amazed. Office staff, medical staff and Dr. Keverline remain outstanding on every visit. Now easily able to see my car's dashboard and where i am going without changing, nor even having, glasses. Everyone there is compassionate, knowledgeable and efficient. Exemplary. I was very fortunate in choosing them-
Southside Eye Care and Dr. Hallberg are the best! Being seeing Dr. Hallberg for over 20 years, he has always been professional, easy to talk to and very thorough with his exams. Hi discovered a viral invection in one eye recently and treated it correctly, I will always use him and Southside Eye care and so does the wife. We highlly recommend Dr. Hallberg and his team.
I woke up with what felt like something in my eye. I called the office around 11am I was told the office was open only half a day due to office staff training. When I explained my problem the office staff was wonderful and told me to come right over! The doctor found the culprit , removed it much to my relief! I highly recommend this practice!
