Harman Eye Center of Farmville

I had been going to another local eye doctor for about 4 or 5 years and could never figure out why my eyeglasses never helped me see super clear. Place figured it out. The other place gave me the wrong glasses for my eyesight. You would think an eye place would know how to test correctly. I was impressed from the minute I walked in. Everybody working there was very nice and helpful. My appointment was good and I finally am going to get the glasses that are right for my eyes. I would highly recommend this place.

I would definitely recommend Harman Eye Care. The glasses department was great. It is decorated so nicely. I brought my prescription in and Amanda was so helpful. She took the time to help me pick out my glasses. I was so overwhelmed and had no idea what I needed or wanted. She was patient and so kind. She took the time to show me what fit me correctly and what lense was best for my needs. I had so many choices and her help was much appreciated. She was a delight to work with.

I took my elderly roommate to Dr Vickery because of her not being able to see out of her left eye, other than haziness and rainbow lights. She was also having severe pain over her eye. She was given steroids. I was gone from the house for most of the following day and when I returned home she was in the same terrible pain. The eye doctor was closed so I took her to Centra urgent care. The Doctor at Centra seemed befuddled like he wasn't sure why the eye doctor hadn't done something different. He prescribed some antibiotic drops and said if it didn't get better make sure you return to the eye doctor. My roommate spent the rest of the weekend in bed until we could get another appointment with Dr Vickery. I finally typed her symptoms into Gemini and got the answer to what was going on. When we returned to Dr Vickery, she was confused as to why the Centra Doctor didn't send us to VCU. The problem is that her symptoms never changed they were just as bad when Dr Vickery saw her the first time as they were the following day. Doctor Vickery informed me that my roommate could see the eye chart when she was in her office which is an outright lie because that is why we went to see her to start with. We ended up spending today in Lynchburg having laser surgery done and we are hoping she will regain her sight you see Acute Angle Closure Glaucoma is a very serious condition and can cause permanent damage. This is exactly what Gemini diagnosed as well as the other eye doctors. Please beware of the lack of care at this facility. I pray my roommate will regain her vision and I would hate for someone else to be in a similar situation.

My husband and I both had our eye appointments here yesterday. We were used to vision centers feeling more like a busy train station and being treated more like cattle, than a doctors office. We were pleasantly surprised to find this wasn't the case.The office was clean, quiet and peaceful. The staff were kind, helpful and very professional. Both our prescriptions for our contacts were off and we really appreciated that Dr. Vickery took her time to explain why we were having trouble and what options we had to fix them. We appreciated Amanda's assistance with understanding our insurance options and how best to use them. Not once did she make us feel we HAD to purchase our eye wear there. In short Harman Eye Center is what we want from an eye center. We are very happy we found them.

The staff is very friendly. The doctor was efficient and answered all of my questions. They were very helpful when I was picking out my frames. The glasses fit well.

I gave a 1 because went to my appointment and they charged me 45 dollars which I had insurance with no copay. Then a few days later I get a text saying I owe 15 more dollars that I need to pay. Reached out to my ins. And they said I was coverd. Will never go back again.

This was my first visit/appointment here. Everything was conducted in a timely, professional, friendly manner. All questions were answered to my satisfaction. I look forward to returning in one year.

Great experience. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me make the best choices for my eye care needs. They'll definitely be my go to for future eye services and eye wear! 10 out of 10!
