America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Awesome staff and super quick only spent an hour from the time I got there, got my eyes checked, put in new contacts and checkers out. Also Ethan is an amazing employee and great person to have a conversation with. Go check them out they treated me very well!!

Wonderful staff, very knowledgeable! I had gotten my glasses almost a year ago with warranty, the lens popped out from my accidentally squishing them BUT I walked in without appointment, dropped them off, and they replaced the frames completely as well as the lenses and I got them back a week later! Thank you!!

I've been wearing glasses and contacts for 50 years and have lived in several areas. I've been going to this store since I moved to this area five years ago. The doctor here is one of the best I've ever had. I wear monovision contacts and bifocal glasses. I've never seen better. So grateful I found this doctor and company.

Had a great experience at America's Best in Glen Allen. Lexi went above and beyond to make sure my glasses would be a perfect fit. She listened to my concerns and double measured to assure everything was correct.

I had come in to store #5762 at 9927 Brook Road Glen Allen VA 23059 around November 29th to make an eye exam appointment for December 2nd; and select a pair of eyeglass frames too. On 12/2/2025 I had the eye exam and asked *Amanda (optician related supervisor?) about the frames I had previously picked out several days before. She couldn't find the frames after REPEATED searching. After about a 25 minute delay going back and forth throughout the store, Amanda FINALLYfound the eyeglass frames I had CLEARLY and SPECIFICALLY told *Takiyah that I wanted to purchase days before. *Takiyah even had the frames and was the last person with them before I left; and wrote down the identification numbers associated with that JP-Paul frame for me. *They were found lodged in a bottom drawer with about 30 other frames in a display section where they were NOT supposed to be at! This was deliberate sabotage against the customer! I said.....Deliberate! Also, Amanda tried to OVERCHARGE me at checkout and encouraged me to put my MasterCard in the Payment device WITHOUT being told or allowed to see the digital receipt first. I had to ASK. When I saw the digital receipt, it showed a $10 upcharge and when I asked about THAT Amanda was annoyed and used the excuse that it was an older cost label that hadn't been updated by the merchant (America's Best) and tried to pass this charge onto ME the customer! I told Amanda there IS a law in place in the state of Virginia to PROTECT customers AGAINST overcharges like these. I also told her that if she didn't void that extra $10 charge off my receipt, I would call the Better Business Bureau myself and report her. ***I was given NO reasonable customer service, NO respect, NO guidance, NO empathy and even rushed throughout the process even though I was the ONLY customer at the time. Two people came in, asked questions and promptly left. I was also given SOILED eyeglass frames TWICE to try on without any consideration of how I was going to see clearly in them. This was disrespectful. I had to ASK for them to be cleaned first! I will NOT be returning to do business with them (Amerca's Best) again. ALERT! I do NOT recommend THIS store. BUYER BEWARE!

Shelby made this establishment a worthwhile destination. He warmly welcomed me, greeted me, and promptly assisted me as soon as I entered. He demonstrated patience while aiding me in selecting a potential new pair of frames. I can not comment on the female employees as I did not have significant interactions with them, nor did they attempt to engage or interact with me.

Tonya at the Glen Allen store of Americas Best Eye Wear is a SUPER STAR! She was so incredibly helpful AND knowledgeable about the product lines and ordering process of the products. She made me feel extremely confident about my prescriptions and my orders and I KNEW everything was going to be correct and as it should be. And it sure was! Thank you for being so wonderful Tonya!

Refused to give me my prescription. Upon receiving my samples, which they did not have in stock, the employees did not inform me and pretended like they didn't have them. Additionally, they were talking mad crap about me and their current customers in the back office. I could hear every word. How do you trust a place like this? You can't.
