No no no no. Was referred to him by another eye specialist. Had had numerous tests done. Dr Ahmed repeated many. While waiting they have a girl sitting there to sell frames. I wanted to try some on & she was very rude, wanted to know how much my insurance would pay, & not let me try any on. Anyway, from Dr A I got bill- paid my portion $300, insurance paid their portion. Then 6mo later I got a bill for $800. I called Dr , they said it was mine to pay, insurance was wrong. I called insurance they said Dr did not bill in a timely manner & billed for items not covered. I spent multiple days & many hours (probably 15hr) arguing between the 2. Privia is who this Dr uses. In the past I've had issues (& so have friends) with other Dr that go thru privia as well. Nothing like this though. So now I try to not use any Dr in Privia Group.

I highly recommend Dr. Faheem Ahmed for your eye care needs, especially if you require surgical care for problems such as cataract etc. He is a wonderful doctor, caring and great at what he does. His clinic is clean and efficient. The front desk receptionist pick up the phone (yes, you know what can happen when you call some doctor practices). The medical assistants who I have interacted with are great. I am very pleased with the care I have received, and can recommend Dr. Faheem Ahmed as a great surgeon.

Dr. Ahmed recently did my cataract surgery in both eyes with the femtosecond laser. It is like a whole new world for me! My distance and intermediate vision is the best it has ever been without glasses. His knowledge of the field and bedside manner is impeccable. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Can't say much about the doctor, but whoever answers the phone and calls other offices to request medical records is so rude. The lady called my office to ask for a patient's records and I requested a medical record release form as per HIPAA. She become irate and upset and called me incompetent because I wanted to protect someone else's information
