When my wife went to the emergency room for her glaucoma, Dr. Siegel was able to diagnose it and give her the proper medicine over the phone, then had her come to the office on Sunday to fix it temporarily with the laser, then a few weeks later more permanently with cataract surgery. I saw how he treated her and the skill and knowledge he possessed through all that, and it convinced me to become a new patient as well. We both feel very confident in our eye care now.

Every thing was wonderful. I love the ladies at the front desk. The tech that did the testing this last visit was also wonderful; however, she assumed Dr. Zaver would look into my dilated eye, but he didn't. So I was dilated for two days for nothing.

Without equal, Dr. Faheem Ahmed is a subject matter expert (SME) and a highly skilled surgeon who exemplifies the highest standards of the Ophthalmology profession. Dr. Ahmed came to my attention as a highly recommended Ophthalmologist. He is recognized in the Top Doctors by Washingtonian Magazine in 2019 through 2024. Needless to say, after years of struggling with blurry, discolored vision due to cataracts, I was anxiously looking forward to having a physician of Dr. Ahmed's caliber to address my vision, he and his collective team did not disappoint! Dr. Ahmed's entire support staff (to include but not limited to the front office support personal, the scheduling department, Ophthalmic medical technicians and assistants, the registered nurses in support of the well-equipped Reston Surgery Center, and the Anesthesiologist) all consistently presented themselves in a steadfast positive, respectful, accommodating, courteous, and professional demeanor from the onset of my initial consultation, through my femtosecond laser monofocal IOL lens implant surgery, as well as to correct a astigmatism in both eyes, and lastly throughout my post operative follow ups. Dr. Ahmed's exceptional communication skills coupled with his professional and caring demeanor assuaged my concerns in discussing in clear, concise, laymen's terms, the types of cataract surgery currently available. Moreover, the most appropriate type of laser surgery based on my lifestyle preference, to allow for one focusing power, distance to better assist in my driving needs. Further, I have few pre-existing medical conditions, to include a pre-existing eye condition, in which Dr. Ahmed tailored my post operative care so as to not affect my recovery process. Of utmost importance to me in seeking a successful outcome was to experience positive interactions and the overall feeling of safety and care that I experienced under the care of Dr. Ahmed coupled with his staff and the Reston Surgery Center's hard work and dedication. Without reservation, I highly recommend Dr Ahmed, the Anesthesiologist, the entire medical support staff, and the Reston Surgery Center in being provided with the utmost specialized Ophthalmology care. This practice has several doctors with many administrative and technical support staff, making the appointment experience very smooth. Dr. Zaver is very professional, thorough, and patient. I had cataract and glaucoma surgery on both eyes. The procedures were explained well, including what Medicare would cover and what expenses I could expect out-of-pocket. I am very pleased with the results.

This practice is excellent. It always has been and it continued to be fantastic. Over the years other medical practices in the region have gone down hill, this one has maintained the high level of care they have always provided. The doctors are great, the assistants are professional and kind, and the front desk answers the phone. Try to get most practices to answer the phone in this region and all I have to say is good luck. This practice has a front desk; they answer the phone; and get you to who or where you need to go. Highly recommend!

I was hesitant until the very last moment about being subjected to the laser procedure Dr. Ahmed had advised to be done to correct my vision of the left eye,, but as assuring as was, I decided to go ahead, and finally we did. He did great job on my left eye. It's been only a day and my vision is already better. Thank you, Dr, Ahmed. The young lady who checked me was very welcoming and efficient. I had an issue with my lenses after having cataracts surgery. The visuals in my left eye was getting worse and I didn't know why. When I went to the Doctor, he explained that this was a normal occurrence after having cataracts surgery. The protein had created a film over my left eye. Dr. Zaver easily saw this as the problem and helped me expediently. The procedure was done quickly and I felt no pain or issues. I highly recommend Dr.Zaver if you have any optical issues.

Dr Faheem Ahmed is an excellent doctor, very knowledgeable and professional. He explained all options before cataract surgery well. His entire office is very pleasant, especially surgical coordinator Marian Suran. She was very organized and attentive to all details. Great visit.
