Invision

Everyone at the Salem, VA location was very friendly and knowledgeable, and answered my (many) questions with ease. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and the entire visit was smooth and quick. I received the exact services I asked for, with no sales pressure from the staff. The young lady who helped me, Zoe, was very sweet and accommodating. The waiting area was welcoming and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I am sad I did not know about InVision sooner because they provided me with the best optometry care I've received since I began needing it in 2005. Thank you all so much!

I have been going to Invision in Salem for several years. The staff is always professional and friendly. They explain what each test is and clean the machines before I use them. Dr. Gaudman is wonderful!! When he asks how you are doing, he truly seems to care. He is very patient when I am having to distinguish from which screen is less blurry. And again, explains things throughly. Shout out to Lisa, one of the opticians. She gave me her honest opinion of what style of glasses would look best on my fat face. I can't wait to get my new glasses . I would highly recommend Invision and will continue to be a client.

I've gone to Invision since I was 5 years old. I'm now 36. Dr. Mann and Dr. Gudeman are the best of the best. For a few years, I didn't have vision coverage and I had to go to America's Best. It was anything but the best. Regardless of that, the staff here is always pleasant, the doctors are very knowledgeable and care about your well-being. I recommend Invision to anyone looking for an Optometrist.

Nice people but sketchy practices. I called to set up my normal eye exam. I get there and they take me back and I do what they tell me to do,"Look in this, look in that" before we head back into the exam room. I finish the exam, it was routine. They take me out to go check out at the front desk... Vision still not the best from getting my pupils dilated and being without my glasses. The lady at the desk hand me papers and says $39 please.. I was a bit confused because my exams are no cost, but I thought maybe something changed with my insurance so I figured I'd call the insurance later and see what's changed. (I was in a rush to get to work). I later find out nothing has changed with my insurance and once I'm able to read the receipt, I see I was charged for a retina scan for $39.. I was confused and had to wait until the next day to contact them. I had to go into work extra early the next day so I didn't have time to stop by and my wife happened to have an appointment there to get her vision checked that next day, so I sent her to ask about the mystery retina scan cost. They told her " since he waited until the next day, you can't get a refund". I'm sorry but how is that my fault? You put a retina scan on my visit that I didn't ask for and that they failed to mention anything about.. how convenient. I couldn't see clearly to even read it, and the next day, they say "its too late he waited 1 day". I'm hoping they make this right, but be warned if you go here.

All I have to say is hands down the best eye care center I've ever been too! There communication is excellent and they were not pushy at all on getting you in the right pair of glasses! I even called them a few times to check on my glasses to see if they arrived and they were so friendly on checking on the update for me! They even ended up showing up early. They made sure I was happy when I walked out the door when I picked up my glasses! Could not be happier with the customer service and there professionalism and organization! I will be back back 5 stars!!!!!!! Thank you so much invision!

Been going there for over 50 years... back when it was only Dr Bane... even after I moved to NC! Was there when Dr Gudeman 1st started working there. Great doctor, great manners... excellent service, great staff, great location. Highly recommended!!

I was new to needing glasses and happen to come across this office, and I am so glad I did. The staff is great and treat you like a friend instead of a number. And Dr. Gudeman is wonderful about explaining things and listening to your concerns. Honestly my current insurance does not participate with this office, but you only have 1 set of eyes and I want the best for me.

I called InVision at 11am to ask if they had same day appointments and I explained my urgency. They don't have walk-ins but was able to see me at 3pm. Staff is wonderful and my whole experience was great. I will be going back as a regular patient.
