I was referred to Cheng by my optometrist in great bridge who I trust with my eye care.....she is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and treats her patients respect. She is the best eye doctor I have ever had and when she referred me to Dr. Cheng I was not sure what to expect. He is an amazingly informed knowledgeable doctor who is thorough and doesn't try to talk you into any surgeries he feels are unnecessary at the current time. He shared with me the unique shape of my eye and how certain surgeries would not benefit me due to the eye shape and history. I am grateful my regular eye doctor referred me to Dr Cheng. I will gladly see him again if needed.

I was seen promptly. All staff treated me with kindness and skill, asking me appropriate examination questions and listening carefully to my answers. My eyes presented some difficulty during the initial exam, but the staff worked together diligently to provide Dr Cheung good data to aid him in his time with me. I have trusted and valued this practice for many years as they have seen me through some difficult situations with my eyes. My first visit was with Dr. Sheppard when he was the younger of only two MDs in the practice. Nearly forty years later I'm still receiving great care, now with Dr. Cheung - a superb, compassionate, skilled physician. Thanks to all for your skilled care through the years!

Dr. Albert Cheung is an ophthalmologist and is part of the skilled Cornea team at Virginia Eye Consultants. Dr. Cheung earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then attended medical school at Penn State University College of Medicine. After earning his M.D., Dr. Cheung completed his internship at Beaumont Health System in Michigan, and remained at the hospital system to complete his ophthalmology residency, during which he served as the Chief Resident. To conclude his training, Dr. Cheung completed his cornea and external disease Fellowship at the Cincinnati Eye Institute in Ohio.
