Outstanding from the minute we walked in to the minute they escorted us over to LensCrafters. My technician made me feel very welcome. To me the best part, was her instructions on what was going to happen during each part of the exam and on each machines we used. I also really liked when she let me know when the test was going to start to prepare myself. I was a little apprehensive about using a new method for the exam, but found it actually was a stress free process. I have visited many different places for exams and never felt the need to write about my experiences, I will be very happy to recommend National Eyecare Associates!

My first-time experience back December 30, 2025 WILL BE MY LAST. I prefer my in person doctor because EVERY PART OF THE EXAM WILL BE ACCURATE. I came in to my appointment and automatically atmosphere felt off even the staff(well one person was there at the time) I wanted to leave immediately but I cared more about my eyes than a person with gossip/nasty behaviors so I continued. All of that new technology stuff is not it and you all should stick with a human, these computerized robotics are cool and all but it isn't accurate. The lady was giving me a familiar vibe of being unlikable even though I never met her before I felt she was not a good person, turns out it is that and a nosey gossiper. So I put on my occupation profile, THAT SHE CLEARLY SAW, I work for the city and it's department and it was saved then I get to the back waiting on the doctor(which I found out it would be a call NOT IN PERSON) my occupation was not enough for her so she goes and ASKS ME WHAT DO I DO FOR WORK SO I PLAYED HER GAME BY LYING TO HER BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT TYPE OF PERSON SHE WAS SINCE I CAME IN THE DOOR. Then after everything was over the other associate comes in at some point then immediately the person I lied to told the chick "where and what I do" for work. Now for the minor problem I am new there and usually I clean my own equipment which she hid for herself somewhere then I asked if she could clean it and she kept repeating that it is cleaned and I told her I WANT TO SEE IT be cleaned for my sake so she gets an attitude about that and cleans it and I told her "oh I dont want to be annoying or anything" because she was annoyed and I only asked ONCE and I went to a stand up thing and she got an attitude there because I used it and "Didnt think" about what I was doing and I told her in a joking manner then she used a joke to give serious attitude related remarks. This experience was when you all come in for a pre-examine of the air toward your eyes and whatever that other one was all before you get to the last room and meet your virtual doctor. What a waste of $29. Happy New Yeearrr!!! New year go to a NEW PLACE, you've been warned . My eye exams are FREE elsewhere with my insurance. One more important thing, all these years of my eyes being checked now I get that eye has astigmatism, but really the glass cover for when the virtual doctor was checking my eyes was PARTIALLY FLIPPED meaning you see part of the brim for different parts of the test, and no it doesn't happen just two times I literally asked the assistant and then the doctor to go back and forth, you will be doing the same. You will see double lenses or the brim..

This has been the most professional and friendly optometrist visit I have ever had. Dr. Ramsey is very knowledgeable. She also has a very warm and welcoming spirit. The staff is just as amazing. Very convenient location. I highly recommend your next eye exam to be here.

Very disappointed called on a Friday, no answer left a voicemail. Called on MLKing day with the understanding they maybe closed left a voicemail. Called on the following Tuesday no answer left a voicemail. Called on Thursday no answer ended up calling Lens Crafters next door to verify the business was still open. The young lady was very helpful went next door and transferred my call. Got an appointment for 2/6/26 at 330 got stuck in traffic's attempted to call no answer arrived at appointment 13mins. Late and was told they have a 10min window and I needed to reschedule. This is just bs..........Not that me not coming here any longer will hurt them it's very frustrating.

It felt both unethical and unprofessional to be asked to provide my full medical history aloud--including my blood pressure, most recent A1C, and family medical history--in a small lobby where other customers were present. This type of personally identifiable and sensitive medical information had already been submitted during the online pre-check process and should not have been requested again in a public setting. I found it inappropriate and uncomfortable to share such details within earshot of others, and I had to stop the intake representative to remind her that this information should already be in your system. My previous visit was handled much more efficiently and professionally in a private area, which I greatly appreciated.

Top notch customer service starting at the front door. High tech equipment to thoroughly assess what you have going on. Patient staff to walk you through it and they save the best for last. The eye Dr that by far, for me, sets the standard moving forward. I will be able to drive at night now as I wasn't for almost 2 years. Changed my life, literally. Thank you!

The LensCrafters in the Harbor view area in Suffolk Va 1013 university Boulevard Suite 200 the staff were extremely helpful and the optometrist was AMAZING! The experience I had was very relaxed and stress free they were very professional. and customer service was beyond 5 stars. My exam was very thorough and all my questions and concerns were answered. I wasn't rushed they took they're time with my appointment. I'd definitely recommend going there. I would highly recommend this facility to all of my friends and family. Thank you Dr. Ramsey, your complete staff, and officer manager for an awesome service!!!!!

The eye doctor was great--it was a virtual visit; however, the tech performing the intake and the eye exam was awful and disgusting. She made a simple eye exam so overwhelming--kept having to re-do procedures & kept telling me I was not opening my eyes wide enough--it was unbelievably CRAZY. There was no privacy--it was another customer in the lobby with me & the tech asked me so much personal information in front of this customer (the same new patient information I had already provided through their online process). She broke all the privacy laws & I am sure that customer heard my medical information--after the doctor told me my eyes were fine, the tech proceeded to try & persuade me to buy readers from their associate, which is LensCrafters. She took me next door to purchase readers, which were not REQUIRED--I wear dollar store & Walmart readers & they are GREAT. I went through the process just to see how much money they were trying to get out of me. I paid $54 for the eye exam & the readers were going to cost me about $300. I left without purchasing anything--I will continue to wear my present readers & THEY WILL NOT SEE ME AGAIN!!!
