It took three calls to get a call back to the allergic reaction that I was having from the eye drops that were give during my visit. I called the after hours line, and the office twice this morning as I was preparing to go to the ER before the Call Center was able to reach the office to get me in. I am very disappointed that it took this many calls to get someone to be able to make an appointment.

After a visit to the Suffolk location, if there is a practice manager, s/he needs replacing. There has to be a more effective way to do business with more emphasis on patient care and customer service. The cattle call approach and overbooking is not exemplary service by any means. Save yourself a day of being in a doctor's office while the Doctor does surgery and fits you in where they can.

Had an appointment at the Suffolk Office for 3:15 in the afternoon. It's quite far from where I live in Norfolk, but they could see me faster than the Norfolk office. Anyway, I arrive exactly on time and am told that the Dr. had an emergency and left earlier. Of course, I have no way of knowing if that is true...maybe she just wanted to get off early on a Friday. They said they tried to reach me yesterday and today. When I went home there was no message yesterday or for today, so they lied! I told them that my preferred way to contact me, as I stated when I did an e-check in, that I wanted to be emailed. The receptionist stated they couldn't do that. Why? Who knows? I mean, emailing someone and telling them their appt has been cancelled and they would have to make another appointment...is not violating anything. How stupid can anyone be? The problem, too, is that doctors and medical professionals and businesses can do whatever they want and get away with it because patients don't have much of a choice. And now, my new appt. is for another month when my sister is visiting, so I will have to take time away from her.

Every visit I am seen late, takes 2 to 4 hours per visit. Seen another specialist, took 45 minutes. Diagnosis all good see you in 3 months, guess they like easy insurance payments. Ot going back, cleared by 2 other doctors, but they want more visits. Great staff, but too slow and greedy.

The initial visit was ok but it took 4 hrs. With better management of resources I could have been out of there in 2 hrs or less. The doctor referred me to one of his associates in Hampton for a retinal check which in my opinion was just spreading the wealth. After that I have tried to contact them to schedule my cataract surgery to no avail. They will not return my calls. But their billing department seems to be on the ball. I'm very dissatisfied with the overall experience.

I was very impressed by everything starting at easy to make an appointment; through testing; all nursing a delight; doctors efficient, friendly and open to questions. Great follow up care.

This is in reference to a visit on 2/26/2024 with Dr. Salib. First let me say Dr. Salib, his nurse and the nurse that did exam were great. They were friendly and made you feel at ease. During the visit it was discovered that patience had a detached retina and two tears. Dr. Salib informed us going out of town on friday but wanted surgery done week of 2/25/2024. He figured we wanted that also. Knowing that this is an urgent situation and know can go blind, we agreed. Dr. salib said sure not happen wednesday but thursday whether with him or his associated. The nurse called in medicine and then said, not see Dr. Salib friday but would see us. Wednesday the patience called the call center at 10:26 after getting no call. Maybe a rush but nervous knowing can go blind..The call center said the scheduler would call. As of 3:43 no call back so called again. Again told sheduler would call. She called at 4:05 and said looking at 3/11. Patience indicated this week whether by Dr Salib or associate was what was told to us. Scheduler said check and get back to us. Patience asked about restrictions like driving, work. Well this morning at 8:00 nothing from scheduler. She was not in office. Scheduler called at 11:41 and said working with Dr. Salib who has her passing off to another firm. If they are so busy why not pass off tuesday? Why concern urgent then okay go somewhere else? Eyesight is getting worse and hurts. I like doctor but the scheduler is no good. I would not suggest these people anyone. Better and more work ethical people are needed to support a great doctor.

Since first coming to Virginia eye consultant's, my total impression of the entire staff is they are caring, highly skilled and professional. Both my eye surgeries were a complete success and honestly experienced no discomfort. I now have 20/20 vision thanks to you all. You're the best!
