I am very happy that Dr Ellis did my cataract surgeries. My vision was corrected from severely near sighted to 20/20 in both eyes. It feels like magic. The medical center in Mount Vernon was efficient and the people were kind and very concerned that I was comfortable. It was also fast, about 90 minutes from arrival to departure. My recovery was quick. The only wrinkle was that the time between eye surgeries was pretty awful. I couldn't wear glasses or a contact lens. But, now that that is over I am very pleased and grateful.

Dr. Kenneth Ellis has been my Opthamologist for a number of years and I appreciate his excellent work and support. Dr. Ellis was also my surgeon for cataract surgery recently. I told him he deserved a standing ovation for his exceptional work and care. I had no pain and the results more than met my expectations and beyond. Excellent work, Dr. Ellis!

I have been pleased and comfortable with Dr Ellis. However; I received extensive laser eye treatment to my right eye to decrease the affects of ruptured blood vessels from diabetes.Apparently the treatment appears to have adversely affected the sight of my right eye. This is according to the retinal surgeon I have also been seeing.

I had read some of the reviews but wanted to use a local eye doctor. I tried to get into Linda Brown but here appointments were two months out and Dr Ellis was only 5 weeks so I booked with him. I booked an early appointment because I had read about the long patient wait times. I only waited twenty minutes to get in and someone who I though was a med tech did the initial work up. She had a younger women following her who was in training. I found out the younger woman had been the receptionist who was going through" in office" training. So the person I thought was a med tech wasn't and held no certifications for the exam she was giving me including the using devices that touched the surface of my eye. Not very comforting. I saw Doctor Ellis for about 4 minutes and got a quick diagnoses from him. He lived up to the online reputation of little to no bedside manners. I am concerned that the majority of the workup was done by office workers who have less credentials than your hair dresser. That seems like an oversight in the system.

As a summer resident on Shaw Island, I had a situation that required an unplanned appointment. The issue was resolved, and Dr. Ellis performed a thorough examination. Bedside manner not great, but competence is far more important. So yes, he has my recommendation .

His license should be revoked. The most disappointing doctor I've ever met in my life. almost to the point where he was unkind. If you're looking for compassion, don't go here
