I scheduled appointments for my husband and I, as I have had eye exams at Costco years ago and had a great experience. I made the appointments online, after seeing that they would bill my insurance, First Choice. We arrived to our appointments early as suggested and the woman was extremely rude, asking if I had received her VM she had left for me. I was confused, as I didn't receive any calls from her. She then said that she needed our insurance information to make sure that we had an eye exam as a benefit with our plan. (Which we do) She was clearly agitated and quite honestly, a complete @itch to us. She didn't even run our insurance card and instead told us that they don't accept First Choice insurance. She proceeded to say that we would have to pay cash for our exams. I was upset because we drove from Waitsburg and the site clearly states that they take First Choice insurance. Needless to say, we left. I checked again before writing this review and they do take our insurance! This woman was clearly angry because we didn't get her supposed voicemail, so she wasn't going to do anything to allow these appointments to occur. This was a month ago and I am still angry at the way that we were treated. Take your business elsewhere as these people have no interest in providing care to their patients. A message for the Dr., manager or whoever runs this business; hire people who have some work ethic and customer service skills, as the woman and her cohort clearly have none. I will also note that this woman looked like she had been out at the bar all night and went straight to work without any care for her hygiene and appearance. Overall, a horrible experience!
Recently visited Tri-Cities EyeCare Center inside costco and it was a great experience. They have flexible availability and booking online was simple and easy. Their customer service is top notch. It was refreshing to be able to be seen with in days of needing an appointment. I highly recommend them.
This place is completely ridiculous. I called asking for a copy of my son's prescription. Due to an insurance mix up I had a balance of 80 dollars. Now mind you I had a copy but had lost it. I was informed by the staff over the phone that I had to pay the balance before they would release the prescription. Even though they had given my a copy at the time of the exams. This place has replaced for the worst eye doctors office ever. DO NOT SUBJUECT YOURSELF TO THESE PEOPLE.
We went here last night Thursday 5/30/19 to get my son contacts. We made an appointment that day because he lost his glasses. They said they would do an exam and train him on how to use contacts. I left work early to make this happen. He had the exam, told the doctor from the beginning why we were there. I paid, then they said we needed to come back Monday that they didn't have anyone to do the contact part. That was the whole point of the exam. When talking to the lady at the front desk she gave us attitude and said oh well we are short staffed. Had they told us things had changed they couldn't do it when we arrived we would have went else where. But since they didn't we wasted an hour and $150 and then it was then to late to go else where to get him seen. Save your money and time go to a REAL Eye Doctors Office. Not impressed!!
My family has been here several times and they are always quick and efficient. The doctor is nice, my daughter likes him a lot. The office staff has always been good. They let me know ahead of time if there is an insurance issue and are always polite. No complaints from me.
DO NOT GO HERE! I got the $98 lession. I schedule appointment and give insurance info ask them to check it will be accepted. At appointment they say insurance was checked and I was eligible for an eye exam. Later Insurance denys payment because my last eye exam was 11 months before. Insurance claimed no one has called to check, they keep records of that. Dr office claims they checked online, but it's patient responsibly to know. If I had any indication that they didn't actually call to check, I would have called myself and found out I have to wait a couple weeks and insurance would happily pay for my annual check. No matter what they say call your own insurance, because unlike any other Dr I have been to, they will not.
Made an appointment a week in advance. Get a call the night before to see what insurance I had for my glass and contact appointment. I was told they closed in 10 minutes and they would not be bike to verify eye insurance after that for the appointment tomorrow. If this is how they elfin their business there is no way I am letting them touch my eyes. Zero stars if possible.
TRI-CITIES EYE CARE CENTER in Costco and specifically Dr. Jared Christensen, thank you for adding additional time to my life.
I was having some vision problems, and my mother recommended your facility and non-dilation optical exam. It's where they take a picture of the eye's optical nerves, blood vessels, etc. I came in on September 25th 2018.
Dr. Christensen looked at the pictures of my eyes, noticed that my optical nerve was compressed, and the blood vessels around it were inflamed. He told me to get an MRI of behind my eyes that day. He further told me I could go blind if I didn't get additional care ASAP. I asked, "When was the last time you saw this problem? " He said it had been several years.
I got an MRI, and they found a tumor with the mass of a baseball in my head. It was compressing my optical nerve, and affecting my vision. I'm glad I picked an optometrists office with qualified professionals with the experience to recognize when something is wrong.
I was diagnosed with brain cancer, but I'm glad they were able to catch it when they did. Thank you for the additional time. Needless to say, this good review has been long overdue. I will be back, and I highly recommend Tri-Cities Eye Care Center to everyone.
THANK YOU.
