Avoid This Clinic at All Costs! I wish I could give zero stars. This eye clinic is a textbook example of a practice that puts profits above patients. 1.Forced unnecessary testing: They refuse to only perform a standard dilated exam unless you also pay out-of-pocket for an OCT scan (even when dilation is medically proven to be more comprehensive for many conditions and is 100% covered by insurance). 2.Completely dropped the ball on contact lenses for my wife. After her exam, they promised to order trial lenses. A week went by, they mentioned they forgot to order; we've never had to chase an eye clinic this much to remind them of steps they should take! 2. Refused to send my son's compounded prescription where we wanted as our insurance recommended an in-network compounding pharmacy. This clinic flat-out refused to send the prescription there, insisting we HAD to use "Columbia Pharmacy" because "that's who we have a contract with, is this even legal? The patient (and insurance) gets to choose the pharmacy not the doctor's office because of some contract deal. They basically forced us to use their preferred (higher-cost) vendors. Everything about our experience screamed "we care about revenue, not your care."

I have beef going to Bartlett Eye Clinic for about 3 years. My eye exams are always thorough. When I express my concerns about the health of my eyes, I am provided with very good information. The provider is able to show me the results of my tests (photos of the inside of my eye) and point out areas inside my eyes that she is tracking to make sure my eyes remain healthy. I never feel pressured to by any products or new eyeglasses. The office staff are always friendly and professional. I would recommend Bartlett Eye Clinic to anyone looking to have their eyes examined.

I'm incredibly grateful to have found an eye doctor who not only listens, but truly cares. From the moment I walked in, I felt seen--not just as a patient with a serious vision concern, but as a whole person. Their thorough approach, clear communication, and genuine concern for my overall eye health have made a difficult journey feel manageable and hopeful. It's rare to find a provider who combines clinical expertise with such compassion. Highly recommend to anyone seeking thoughtful, personalized eye care.

Very happy with my decision try out this local Kenmore area clinic. I've never had such a thorough eye exam. Dr. Shen's is easy to talk with and does an incredible job explaining conditions.

Dr. Ken was kind and friendly during my visit, which I appreciated. However, as a first-time patient coming in for a routine annual exam, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency around add-on services. I wasn't told ahead of time that retinal photos were not included in the standard exam and would cost an additional $39 out of pocket. Patients should be informed of any extra charges before services are performed. I also ran into repeated errors in my new patient information (email and address) that I had to correct multiple times, including again when setting up the patient portal, which was frustrating and time-consuming. On a positive note, the clinic did ask for my consent before performing the contact lens test.

This eye appointment I knew would be different than the others since lasik in 2020. Dr. B. is super thorough and explains details. Scott gives incredible feedback and direction making the process go smooth. Leah is very welcoming and has the check in process flowing easy. Anna guiding from one machine to the other contributing to a seamless visit, this group is phenomenal!

Dr. Shen is a very experienced doctor. She is very patient to answer all my questions. I have my after catracter surgery check up and got a new pair of glasses. Friendly staff and quality service.

Today, I stopped in (unannounced) and was flabbergasted at the tremendous service I got. I doubted a recent Rx from a nearby optometrist so they ran those new glasses through a Lensometer. They found some small inconsistencies with their own findings from an exam a few weeks ago, and offered a mock-up pair of glasses using THEIR own Rx. Not only that, Dr. Shen came to the waiting area to experiment with the mock-up glasses. She LISTENED to me, considered my needs, my recently purchased glasses (from the other optometrist), and even my height to let ME decide on a path. I ended up getting a new Rx with bifocals. I apologized profusely for using up so much unscheduled time but the whole crew made me comfortable and heard. Thank you, Dr. Shen and team. I'm anxious to get my new specs so I can clearly see the correct number of stop lights at intersections!
