During our recent visit, we had an unpleasant experience with one of the saleswomen. She was unfriendly and gave off a negative attitude from the start, which made us feel unwelcome. Instead of asking us what we needed, she assumed and gave us a very high quote without any explanation. She was jotting down numbers on a sticky note, which felt unprofessional. When we clarified what we were looking for, her attitude noticeably worsened. When it came time to sign documents, I asked to review them before my mom signed, but the saleswoman was impatient, insisting we "just sign here." I made it clear that we don't sign anything without reading it first, and her attitude only became more dismissive. That said, we had a great experience with the front desk staff, and Dr. Brooks was amazing. My parents were very happy with the doctor, but unfortunately, due to the saleswoman's behavior, we'll be looking elsewhere for glasses and lenses. It's much easier to be kind and courteous than rude. I hope she receives more customer service training in the future.

Got my preschoolers glasses here several years now. The staff here are great! They carry the tomato brand which are very durable for kids and fit well!

My wife and I were scheduled to take a cruise out of Seattle leaving 8/15/2025 to Alaska. The evening before we were going to depart, her eye became red and runny. We thought she had pink eye and we would not be able to board the ship. I took her to an Urgent care and the ARNP referred us to Alderwood Vision Source. They were able to work her into the schedule at 11 AM. Dr. Jacob Gilbar looked at her and immediately knew it was not pink eye, it was an eye hemorrhage, told us not to worry and wrote us a letter verifying that she was not contagious and safe to travel. From the scheduler to reception through Dr Gilbar this facility operated with compassion, concern and urgency. We got on the ship and had a wonderful time. We greatly appreciate thier service to us! I recommend this facility with the highest regard!

Just had an eye exam at this business and probably won't be going back. The optometrist and assistants were very kind and helpful, but when I first checked in, I was told my insurance would cover most of it and my for sure billed items would be a $10 copay and the electronic eye examination for $44 which I willingly accepted. The kind lady who checked me in even asked me if I was wearing my contacts. But at no point during the whole time I was there was I told there would be a $50+ contacts examination fee. I understand that there are more things to check for with contacts and am glad to pay the additional charge, just don't tack it on at the end and blindside your customers. Tell them at the very beginning that there will be an additional cost of $___ for contact lenses. Very deceptive business model and I would avoid this place if you have the option to. It's like getting a bill for your food and being surprised by a 60% service fee. So dishonest.

I went here after reading the reviews. I can say that I had great experiences here! Dr. Gilbert is very friendly and knowledgable, he understands my rare eye condition. I got my first pair of contacts lenses and Physician Reneta help guided me to put them and take them out. She is the sweetest! I was having trouble with the contact lenses but she was very patient and encouraging! Would def recommend this place! The only thing is, there was a male physician that does the routine check up, he is not unfriendly but he is monotoned and speaks way too fast and it's hard for me to understand what he's saying.

My daughter and I had an excellent experience ..... Everyone was friendly and efficient From the front desk ladies, and the young lady that took time to help my daughter pick out her glasses. Doctor Brooks was very knowledgeable and informative. We will be back !!!

I have had many visits to the optometrist since I was young. And nothing quite like this. I was offered an up charge of some fancy eye check. When I denied it even if insurance covered it. They did to me for free without telling me. Even tho they pushed hard for me to get it originally. Only to tell me at the end of the checkup that it was always complementary for first-time visitors. It seemed like cheap sales techniques to me. Then I was told it was best that I should get the most expensive package and that my usual option would soon be discounted and that no one would offer it. They gave me two options, very poor quality or an uber expensive one. After I tried the 1 month option. It was painful in the first week. I called, and the front desk fessed up that my original prescription contacts weren't actually goings to be discounted by the maker but, rather that Vison Source was just not interested in offering it anymore. I was upset because they used more cheap car salesman tactics to try and manipulate me. I asked for them to order my original option as it was always best for me. They did and told me that I would be able to get the right prescription in 7-10 business days. I called a few days later, and they told me that the prescription wasn't there yet. I called a week after that, and they told me that it had arrived 1 week ago and that their system said I was contacted already. I asked that they set me up with the soonest date available for a fitting, and the receptionist said 4 days from the day I called. I told them that it was reduiculus that they couldn't book me sooner. Then she said, "Let me see if I can move some stuff around to help you." And with a simple click, she said that the following day was available. I almost couldn't believe the nerve of these people. I was actually not surprised at this point. Any trust that I had in the Vison Source team was erroted away with all the lies and poor poor customer servers. I will never do business with such a questionable group of people again. I have definitely learned my lesson. They are all about money and could care less about helping you. Once they have your cash, they don't care.

We took our toddler and kindergartener for wye checkups here and Dr. Joshua and his assistant were simply fantastic. They were so good with the kids and took the stress off of us. Cant thank them enough for such an outstanding and stress free experience!
