Booking an appoitnment and getting an eye check at Ballard optical was very easy and efficient. The check in process and the actual eye exam was quick but thorough too! I am super impressed with Ballard Optical. I've been coming here for three years. Everyone is kind, helpful and efficient. I like that they use what would appear to be the latest technology for conducting eye exams, submitting to insurance, processing patient payment, and sharing digitally both contact and glasses prescriptions, and invoices. I also appreciate that an eye exam plus payment processing can take as little as 20 minutes. I used to have appointments at an office where the eye exam by itself would take an hour, in addition to another 20 to 30 minutes for payment, and the oldest technology was used for eye exams (also no computers, just paper files). I much prefer the efficiency and effectiveness of Ballard Optical.

I generally like it here. The doctors are both fast and thorough and they explain insurance benefits well without feeling rushed and help pickbout glasses but I'm surprised at how little they value the safety if their staff and clients. They have a no show fee policy that states you will be charged even if you are sick if you cancel in less than 24hrs so I was forced to come in sick or pay a fee. They don't care if you have covid or are throwing up or anything else. I was really disappointed to learn that. They are really great outside of that policy.

Just had my first appointment with them for a general exam and to update my prescription. Everyone was efficient and to the point, but still very friendly. There was not much small talk which I don't mind. Dr. Henderson was great at answering all questions and explaining what she was looking for during the exam. They seem to have a fairly good selection of glasses.

I've had trouble with dry eyes for years, and all previous optometrists I've seen have brushed off my concerns with just telling me to use eye drops more frequently. Dr. Ahmad actually listened to my issue, took a few extra minutes to examine my eyes more closely, explained what was wrong, and gave me practical advice on how to help my problem. I'm very happy with the care I received and will be a loyal customer for years to come.

The best optical service that I ever got. The reception is nice and friendly, and the doctor is very professional. The whole process only took me 20mins from check in to leave. No dilation needed, VSP supported, and most efficient. The doc took me down the prescription test and the eye health test. We also discussed about the allergy, computer glasses, and health history, etc. she is very patient, and explains every thing clearly and accurately.
Particularly I got very specific questions about dry eye and itchy/watery problem, got solved perfectly.
No need for any hesitation, pick them if you just want to get problem solved in 20mins like me. A quick drop by and go then Solve everything
