Wonderful experience with all my providers. I found when I went to order my glasses today though, my insurance only covered $150. It was $250 last time I was at the eye Dr. I guess I need to go home and read the fine print on this years policy. It will probably piss me off to find what else they cheaped out on. You would think when you pay over $1000 a month for insurance (employer pays half) you would get something better.. I've been at this job 8 years. That's 96 months at $1000 a month = $96,000. What a rip off.i can't even afford to put my son on my insurance. KP feels like a cult with all their rules
Dr Bansil is super knowledgeable, personable, caring, and has a warm and engaging sense of humor I want her to stay as my primary practitioner for my eye exams. Also, there was a wonderfully supportive team for check in, eyeglass choices, and checkout. Lance, in particular, is a stand out, but all of the staff are Rockstars.
Kaiser Permanente Washington is amazing, so grateful for their presence and the compassion and fantastic Care they provide for their patients. I have been a member since 2009 and will proudly continue my membership! My care provided in multiple specialties, including ophthalmology and family practice have been well. Coordinated and care team has been thoughtful and kind in every step!
I have stated this in past reviews; I'm not out to thrash on any business, but I am out to give my honest opinion to future customers or, in this case, future patients, no matter if it the information is good, bad, or indifferent.
This review is about Kaiser Eye Clinic, not specifically about Dr. Moore, and not about the front office workers there. They were kind and helpful!
I wish this tech was wearing her name tag; unfortunately, she was not, nor did she provide a name. Nonetheless, I feel it is important to write this review for anyone considering choosing Kaiser for their medical/eye care; you know the saying, it only takes one bad apple!
The other day I took my mother to an eye appointment; my mother is 94, in a wheelchair, with terrible vision and hearing, has a lot of issues I won't go into, etc.
Her appointment time came around, and due to medical issues with my right arm, I cannot pull, push or lift anything heavy. I asked the tech if a family friend could push her wheelchair for me; the answer was no; they only allowed one other person with the patient.
Aside from having my arm and hand in a brace, I did explain the situation to her, but yet she refused to help me out and push my mother from area to area, room to room. So I had to do that, as hard and painful as it was for me to do, I did it.
While in a closed room, and the three of us were all wearing masks, my mother pulled her mask down to rub her nose with a tissue, and this assistant, with a very firm voice, stated that she (my mom) was to keep her mask on the whole time she was in this building, my mouth dropped open in disbelief with her firm stance, and then she quickly said there are sick people here, and she wouldn't want my mother to get sick.
Sick people at the eye clinic spreading germs and not staying at home????
The five people I saw looked pretty darn healthy, and if they are sick why are they there or allowed to be there??? Sounded suspicious to us!
Her attitude was unprofessional towards my mother and me. And the one time that my mother has been out and about in months, she had to face someone with an unkind attitude.
This technician, for whatever the reason, had very little patience with us which was displayed in her actions, attitude, and tone toward us throughout the time she was with us.
My honest opinion is if you are unable to deal with EVERYONE then you need to change careers.
I understand that everyone has bad days, but the fact is, she was really friendly to another patient I saw her with, so there was no excuse for her bad behavior toward us.
Kaiser Permanente Eye Clinic was clean, clutter-free, and had plenty of seating available.
Kaiser Eye Clinic is located at 10516 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale, Washington. Neighboring businesses are Green Garden Pho, Naturally for Paws, Peter's Kitchen, and Chuck E. Cheese.
Kaiser Permanente Medical is located directly behind these businesses.
There is plenty of shared parking spaces.
I have stated this with most of my reviews, especially my newer ones "Please be kind to ALL living things!!"
I hope that tech reads this!
