Francke and Nunley MD's PLLC

On May 19, 2022, I made an appointment with Francke&Nunley MD at 1201 Washington Street, E., Charleston ,WV by telephone for an eye examination that was scheduled at that time for Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 9:00am. Also on May 19, 2022, I received a text message from Francke&Nunley confirming this scheduled appointment. Further, on June 29, 2022, at 9:13am I received a second text message from Francke&Nunley that stated for me to, "please reply YES to confirm my appointment scheduled for 9:00am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022". At approximately 11:15am on June 29, 2022, I responded with the requested text message as YES to confirm that I would arrive for the eye exam as had been scheduled back on May 19, 2022. On the morning of July 6, 2022, I traveled one hour and 50 miles with gasoline at approximately $4.90 per gallon to complete the appointment that had been scheduled approximately a month and a half ago. Upon entering the Francke&Nunley office I found a very unprofessional and uncaring receptionist. I advised the receptionist that I was there for my appointment. The receptionist then proceeded to tell me that my appointment had been cancelled. I advised him that I had not cancelled my appointment and had not been notified it had been cancelled. I then showed him on my phone the text message indicating I had confirmed my attendance by text as requested on July 6, 2022. The receptionist said nothing could be done as my appointment time/date had been cancelled and given to someone else. I advised the receptionist and one of the doctors that I had traveled an hour and 50 miles, one way, to complete this appointment. Neither really cared and stated that there were some changes that had cancelled my appointment. The doctor said a letter was mailed on July 1, 2022, advising me the appointment had been cancelled. I advised him I had not received any letter. On July 7, 2022, one day AFTER my scheduled appointment I received this letter. In conclusion I wasted (round trip) two hours travel time, traveled 100 miles unnecessarily, and wasted approximately $25.00 worth of gas to complete an eye exam that had been scheduled about one and a half months plus was confirmed only seven days before it was scheduled. Would it not have been a common courtesy for Francke&Nunley to at least have phoned me to save me time, money and disappointment. I was to be a new patient but will NEVER attempt to patronize their business again. This is the most unprofessional and uncaring place of business I have ever dealt with by far. I would have rated this practice "0" stars if possible.

Had been going a few years and was very pleased. Never canceled an appointment and always showed up. However randomly received a letter stating due to "practice changes" they no longer wanted me as a patient. Not sure if they are working on closing up shop or just unhappy because I purchased contacts somewhere else. Unfortunately I had just recommend them about a week ago to a coworker.

Love that office and the staff! They are great. I have such a great experience every time. The guys that work there are hilarious and are always smiling. Always feel at home there from front to back! You have to get your glasses there....most definitely a one of a kind experience with the lady in optical!

Extremely unprofessional staff. Optical department manager not only unprofessional but extremely rude as well. Experienced long wait times for glasses and unprofessional customer service from staff. I was expecting a call from Dr Francke for an apology or explanation of the unprofessional service but instead was told he "could no longer see me as a patient." Definitely would not recommend.

I was Dr. Franke's patient long time ago then I moved away. When I came back, he checked my eyes and ordered a cataract surgery by Dr. Nunley. What a 100 percent improvement!!! I now don't need the high beam to drive at night time, the glasses to work with computers, ... However, their shop always makes the best glasses that I have ever had.

I am very happy with Dr. Frankie and his staff. They are very nice and professional, and they always take us in on time. Changing eye doctors from Beckley to Charleston was a good decision for my husband and me.

Franck and Nunley are great doctors but their staff is horrendous and irresponsible. Appts made 6 months in advance canceled and rescheduled without calling patient . This is the 2nd time this has happened and it's the last. They've just lost a patient because of bad office staff.

I am 63 years old and have been wearing glasses for 55 years . This was my first visit with Dr. Francke and these are the best pair of glasses I have ever wore. Great office staff and very talented.I highly recommend Dr. Francke.
