DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, Very rude to me and my daughter because we didn't get every vaccine under the sun, they had to dilate my daughters eyes 3 times because we waited for 2 hours before they decided we were with the time of day, then when we got to a room the doctor walked out because a nurse needed to talk to him, at this point we should have left. Then they had us hold our 1 month old daughter down so they could clamp her eye open and put a needle into it. The whole time nothing was walked through and there was no care or humanity involved. Clearly we were another number making them a paycheck. Never again will we see this sad excuse of a Pediatric doctor.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Tarakji and his staff. They are amazing. Dr. Tarakji fixed my vision when no one else could. He has an excellent bedside manner and his staff are all so kind. Yeah, you might have to wait, but its because Dr. Tarakji is so good that he is always busy and he takes time with his patients. It is worth it! He is worth it! I am extremely grateful to everyone who works there.

Receptionist was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Will not be returning! Long wait times, like 3 hrs long or more. We put up with that because the dr is great at his job, but I will never return after the way we were talked to!

Cataract surgery resulted in crystal clear vision! Astigmatism corrected and first time in 60 years I don't need contacts or glasses ( except readers) Dr is very courteous and professional. The office staff was great! I highly recommend this doctor.

We have been going to Dr. Tarakji for 10 years (including a surgery in that time frame) He has always been great with my child and they love seeing him. He is quick and precise. The wait time is long, however any specalist I have ever had to go to has had a long wait time. I'll gladly give a little in the wait time area to have a doctor that knows what he is doing! I have recommended him to several others. (I always tell them to plan on a few hours for an entire exam) We will be bummed whenever he decides to retire!

Very long wait time. be prepared to spend 2+ hours waiting if you are not the 1st appointment of the day. They were rude and un-accommodating to my child with a disability. The doctor refused to give me my daughter's PD. It is a state law that ophthalmologists give the patient all of their prescription information. Do not recommend.

This is the place to go if you want a correct diagnosis from an expert. Dr. Tarakji is excellent as is the rest of the staff. Yes, the wait can be long, but it is absolutely worth it. The practice is also mindful of the wait and has ample seating in comfortable chairs as well as a separate kids room with toys, books, and TV.

After getting a second opinion from WVU Eye Institute and seeing how they handle their pediatric patients, I truly do not understand how this office can claim they are a pediatric office- from the wait time, to the staffs attitudes, to how the tests were ran. I understand that I am seeing a specialist, but having to spend 3.5 hours in a doctors office with an 11 month old, and almost all that time was spent waiting, seems a bit ridiculous. My son was held down against machines so the exam could be done. Seems that if they were an actual pediatric doctor they would have other ways to run these test, WVU did. As parents there for an eye appointment for their young child , we were already nervous/concerned, the staff was very unwelcoming and unfriendly and did not help with those feelings. They didn't explain anything.... If anyone is up in the air about where they should take their child to be seen I highly recommend WVU Eye Institute.
