Morgantown Eye Associates

My husband has been going for annual eye exams for four years now and likes his doctor there and feels that he gets good prescriptions. However, I have serious concerns. Every year they do a separate eye exam on him and charge him about $50, which they say is not covered by insurance. They know that he is also being followed at the WVU Eye Institute, which does the same exam every year and it's covered by insurance. We are told we will get the results of this exam through their portal on their website. This never happens but they keep coming up with new excuses. We got one pair of glasses one year. We paid more than we've ever paid for glasses. The first bill we got had all sorts of wrong charges. We went back and they corrected it. We took the corrected bill to another optical shop and learned that we were charged for items we never should have been charged for. The girls at the desk are nice but they tell you they will take care of things and someone will call us back. This has never happened.

Great service at Morgantown Eye Associates. I had an appointment for 10 and was in and out in less than an hour. The workers are great very nice and helpful. I didn't get glasses there but they gave me a printed and digital copy of my prescription before I left. As well as adjusting my glasses for no cost!

As a 72 year old, it was time to improve my vision for specific situations. After using only a variety of readers for decades, this will be a major change for me. Following a thorough examination by Doctor Mancini, I was able to obtain new progressive lenses in my sunglasses, new progressive lenses in glasses used at my computer work station, and a new pair of glasses with progressive lenses for everyday use including driving, watching TV, and reading. The variety and quality of frames was excellent. Thank you Doctor Mancini and team!

I am pleased as always with the level of detail. They are thorough, professional, friendly, and take their time with exam. Making sure you understand everything that is happening. I have never waited long, someone is always 1 step ahead waiting to take you to the next part of your exam. I would 100% recommend Morgantown Eye Associates

What doesn't this place do well? Dr Mancini is not only a great optometrist, she's kind and funny as well. The front desk is welcoming and very helpful. They make me feel like a valued patient, even when I'm a hot mess. And Lindsay went above and beyond today, helping my daughter find the perfect pair of glasses despite our budget concerns. I originally came here after less than great experiences elsewhere, hoping they could do better. Morgantown Eye Associated has well surpassed my expectations! If you are on the fence about trying this office, give them a try. You won't regret it!

What a great experience! Every single person was so welcoming and helpful and kind. Best appointment I've ever had. The equipment is well situated set up in a way that met all of my needs, which led to an easy and very positive exam. If you're used to rolling your eyes when you get your upcoming eye exam notice in the mail, then you need to come here instead.

Don't go to Morgantown Eye Associates if you have insurance!!! They apparently don't know how insurance works or they are just too lazy to bill the insurance. My son Alex went there today for the second time and was told for the second time that they couldn't bill his insurance and that he had to pay that day. Alex being 19 just did what they said and left. I thought after a few days of back and forth with these people last time about the insurance that this was settled. They assured me that it was. Honestly, I should have known they didn't care and it wasn't over when they never provided an itemized bill, so we could submit a claim to the insurance. He had to ask for both itemized bills at today's appointment. They just want their money! Alex said he saw a different doctor today and he didn't even know why was there. This place isn't worth your time or your money!!! I was forced to give this place 1 star, since you can't post with 0 stars.

Wonderful staff! They were so warm and friendly, it alleviated any anxiety surrounding my appointment. I saw Dr. Wratchford and she was the best! She made great conversation during the appointment and treated me with great patience. I will recommend this place to anyone I know!
