Beaver Dam Eye Care

The scheduling process was super easy. I filled out the paperwork online and Sarah called me a couple of hours later to help me get scheduled, she was so nice and helpful on the phone! She was able to find me an appointment the following week. Once I got there, I was able to check in really fast, and I didn't have to wait long before Dr. Stacy came out to get me. Dr. Stacy was very thorough and helped answer all of my questions. Their office is very clean, and it looked like they had a nice selection of stylish frames. I had an overall great experience from start to finish and I am so happy that I was able to find a nice, local eye doctor!

Very unprofessional ! Can not even bring my self to give them even one star. Had my vision check done there and decided to get my glasses at Vision Works, more selection and cheaper. Vision Woks was unable to make my glasses. After two tries they graciously refunded my money and suggested I go back to Beaver Dam. After two pairs of glasses and a Eye check Beaver Dam decided they could no longer help me. They were not willing to refund my money nor were they willing to reinstate my Insurance benefits. I knew there was a problem with the prescription so I took it to Aurora Eye center at Summit. Today I picked up my new glasses and they were perfect. Come to find out the prescription that Beaver Dam checked twice was incorrect as well as the progressive line was too high. I have never been treated so poorly by a company before. Also How could they keep my money. Thank goodness my insurance reimbursed me. They never gave me any paper work on guarantees and when I questioned them about it both technicians lied about giving me a verbal guarantee. Shame on you Beaver Dam. At least my insurance company is investigating what happened. If you need good eye care and honesty done go here.

Wonderful experience! Dr. Stacy was extremely thorough with my exam. She explained everything. I wanted new glasses and because I had had my eyes dialated the ladies helped me pick out my new frames. I couldn't have had a better experience!

Edit: After posting this review i received a check in the mail for $50 that stated they were sorry about any confusion and that normally an eye exam costs $105 if you have insurance and $80 if you do not have insurance. See below for my original review. Seems to me that pricing is something that is inconsistent with this business. New customers beware! I called them and set up an eye exam for my wife and I and was quoted at $80 per exam which was fine by me. When I arrived at the business I confirmed the price of $80 before insurance which would leave me to pay $40 per exam. After our eye appointments I was given a bill totalling $130. When. I asked why it was $50 more than they stated before our exams they responded with a $25 per new customer surcharge. I felt like the pricing was very deceiving and when I began to share my opinion about the situation with the lady at the desk she became very rude and did not want to hear anything I had to say. Needless to say myself or my family will NOT be returning to this business for any reason. I would not recommend that anyone go to any business like this that lies right to a customer's face before a service then throws "extra" new customer charges on the bill. That is a terrible way to treat a new customer.

Horrible overpriced experience. The owner is so used to writing refund checks. He didn't even seem like he cared. They were going to charge me $130 for glasses with insurance. Took my prescription to Walmart. No insurance, better lenses and don't have to wait 3 weeks (don't really know how long it was going to take at Beaver Dam eye care because that's when I said enough is enough) and it was $184. Yes more expensive but with the upgrade I'll be better off. Don't go. Don't waste your time

Went in for my exam explaining I was having to wear reading glasses more and more for near and intermediate vision and that I worked on computers all day and at home to complete my degree. I was prescribed progressive lenses. When I went in to pick up the optician remarked "I knew these frames would look good on someone eventually". She then handed me a card to read, when I told her my vision was not clear she said I needed time to adjust to the lenses, cleaned them off and sent me on my way. My glasses were never adjusted. After wearing for a few days I could not see in distance without being blurry and I could only see computer if I tilted my head way back or lifted glasses up. When I contacted office to let them know the solution was to make reading glasses for the computer. When I said I could get readers for $15 at store and wanted to return they said to contact the insurance company for return. After doing so and calling back they said they would refund but the doctor only writes checks once a month even though I was required to pay for his service on the day I received it. Having worked in optometry for several years I was shocked that my glasses were never once adjusted to fit my face as that can often times remedy the problem. This office lacked professionalism and customer service. I do not recommend.

The staff was welcoming and kind. They made picking out glasses fun and relaxing. I really appreciated how everything was explained nicely. I love my new glasses, and will definitely be returning!

Beaver Dam Eye Care always takes time to help. They give you honest opinions about trying on frames. Always friendly and very thorough with eye exam and questions or concerns. Never feel rushed.
