I believe she's a competent doctor but doesn't explain much. I feel I wasn't fully informed for the risks and benefits of having/not having the recommended procedure, what exactly she was going to do to my eye and how that will treat the conditions, what symptoms I should watch out for after the procedure, and why I needed to have follow-up appointments. She seemed in a hurry to leave the site, which discouraged me to ask questions. When I did ask one question (what the cause of my condition was), she seemed irritated and gave only a brief explanation. Though I think I chose the right path and she did the procedure competently, I feel uncomfortable seeing her in the future as I want to have a full and objective understanding of what's (going to be) done to my body and its consequences.

I just moved to the Madison area. Caring and kind staff. Dr. Schildroth was caring and attentive to my needs. Got an injection of my left eye and she mentioned that the literature supports using dilute betadine. That was a game changer for me. After 4 years with these injection, I finally had only minimal discomfort after the anesthetic wore off, instead of intense pain for five hours. Awesome!!!
