The worst eye care possible. My wife had a double vision problem at a distance. Took 3 1/2 hour exam, for my wife to told need MRI, other tests. Went back month later was told no issues with MRI. They put prism in one lens, told her wear her glasses to see if helps. Went back 3 weeks later and the doctor order glasses. Ten days later glasses were here. Double vision corrected, problem now she can't see anything up close. Have to ware two different pair glasses now. Had appointment today nothing resolved. I had eye exam with this same company, went in eyes seemed good, got new glasses, can see less than before. Dropped over $1400 between the two of us for nothing.

Do not come here for care! The wait time is long with no explanation. The staff do not communicate that the appointment may take all day or if the provider is behind schedule. The scheduling process and "overbooking" is given as an excuse for waiting 90+ minutes after dilation to be brought back to a room to wait even longer. Provider shortages are everywhere, this could be better if the staff just communicated and had some transparency about the actual appointment process and length.

So far not good. I will update this review after my next appointment. I have scheduled two appointments here that were cancelled by the clinic suddenly a day or two before the appointment. I see other reviewers have trust issues here too. I feel like my vision is not important to this clinic because they keep cancelling my scheduled appointments. Update: Once again this clinic called to reschedule my appointment within a week of the scheduled appointment. I am done messing around at this location, and will schedule appointments elsewhere.

I have had a good eye exam in the past from the optometrist. I have had below average and mixed results getting glasses made, and provided to me on site. Now today, I have been unable to reach either the optical department or the appointment department upstairs to make an appointment with an optometrist or ask a question no one is answering the phones and I have spent more than 30 minutes calling back three different times at this business. So again, I'm stating that both the optical department and The optometry and doctors ophthalmology appointments desk. Nobody is answering the phones. There is an answering machine at the glasses location downstairs. But there is no answering machine for the appointment desk or to get questions answered about your insurance for the ophthalmology optometry appointments. You just get left on hold endlessly when trying to make an appointment with an optometrist or doctor or get any questions answered about appointments or insurance and what they take. This is a bad indication of a business.

My experience with my doctor has been great. My experience with your phone service is BAD. if I could give the pone serve an accurate evaluation, it would probably be -25. Earlier this week, I tried to reach someone in my doctor's office , I finally left s voicemail I never received a response. Today, I got a voicemail message telling me the doctor was giving me an appt on Monday afternoon. I tried to return the call and asked specifically for the office of that doctor, but your call answering system apparently cannot deal with such specific, helpful information. According to my phone I was on hold for 44 minutes. There is no excuse of this system. It is SO terrible that I am giving one star that reflects my horrible and inexcusable experience with your phone system

The screw at the temple of my glasses broke in half didn't fall out. Didn't come apart, just broke in half. So my lens keeps falling out. I went to ask them if they could repair it. And after messing with my glasses for 10 or 15 minutes. They came back and set my broken glasses on the counter. And said , sorry, can't fix it. No options, Nothing just we can't fix your glasses. Most expensive glasses i've ever purchased and they're the junkiest. The nose pads started turning green right after I bought them, like the screws are corroded. Never buying here again. 8/13- How do you suggest earning my trust again? You gave no contact info and made no offer...

SSM health switched our paper statements to paperless without our consent and then decided to send a bill that we never got to collections department. We never consented to any of this. We did not receive any communication regarding this forced change. My husband and I waited for 20 minutes to talk to someone. After 20 minutes, the agent answered the phone, took all the information and decided to hang up on us. We called again- this time the Fish hatch location. We waited for another 20+ minutes. A very unprofessional and rude agent answered the phone. After inquiring about why this was sent to collections when we never got the bill, this agent started raising his voice and literally yelling at me. There was no apology for the mistake that was clearly their fault, either. But I am not surprised. SSM does NOT care about their patients. I will NEVER come to SSM for any of my medical needs, ever again. Not to mention the outrageous prices that they charge for their lousy medical services. I'm absolutely disgusted by their actions! Absolutely disgusted. What they did is illegal, unethical, unprofessional, and outright nauseating.

Lots of issues with billing with this vision clinic! I've been dealing with an issue with a bill for almost 2 years now (it was supposed to be an annual eye exam but was labeled as something different). The bill was sent to my regular health insurance instead of my vision insurance that was listed on my account. And apparently they even had a number from my insurance card incorrect as well as the incorrect name of my vision insurance, which they think could've been causing issues. I also called this clinic and they didn't even have the phone number for the billing line. They said it's a different one than the SSM billing phone number, yet I called the SSM billing phone number and they were able to help me out anyways! I've spent countless hours on the phone trying to figure out why I was billed for an annual eye exam that should've been completely covered by my insurance.
