Doctors are very nice. Building outside is disappointing as rest of area is developed. Get inside building, even worse. Eye Institute and the waiting room tvs...yes all of them are unacceptable! It's like watching a show thru a snow storm! Are you trying to get more customers or make the ones you got worse? These clients deserve a giant sized tv with great reception for the amount of money located in the building. Time to do better!!

I was referred twice for specialized care and was informed that the Neuro-Ophthalmology team was prepared to schedule my appointment pending receipt of final documentation. After I obtained and submitted the required paperwork, I was unexpectedly told that the clinic would no longer see me for this issue. I was then directed back to Neurology, despite the fact that Neurology had already determined that my condition required evaluation by Neuro-Ophthalmology and issued a direct referral. This reversal was both confusing and concerning, particularly given the seriousness of my symptoms. Even if the ultimate determination had been that the issue was not related to the optic nerve, I would have preferred a formal evaluation and clear medical conclusion rather than being declined after being led to believe care would be provided. Receiving that initial reassurance, only to have it withdrawn, was deeply discouraging. Situations like this underscore how important it is for patients to advocate for their own care. In my case, prior symptoms that were initially overlooked ultimately contributed to a significant diagnosis requiring urgent medical treatment. Continuity and clarity in specialty referrals are critical, especially when neurological and vision-related concerns are involved. It is disappointing that I was unable to receive care through my preferred Froedtert providers. I hope the referral and scheduling processes can be reviewed to prevent similar experiences for other patients seeking specialized evaluation.

Today I brought my daughter into her 9:30 am appointment. I was told it wasn't until 12:30 so I provided proof that I had of the confirmed appointment. After waiting a hour we were seen. I had the worst experience where I cried in the car. I was talked to so rudely for no reason. Throughout the appointment I remained respectful. I looked at my daughter and I can see it bothered her . It felt so racist and unwanted I regret bringing my daughter to this environment. If this is not a field you are happy in find something that suites you! I will never under any circumstances come back here or refer anyone to this place. If you are black I would reconsider coming here.

Wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Worst experience in a medical office we have ever had. There is zero parking, the office was so full there was no seating in the waiting area, we have been in this room for over an hour and no one has said anything. Our first visit it was disgustingly dirty...make sure you charge me for a hospital charge though? Are you kidding me?!? We have received multiple bills for things that were never explained. It's like cattle. Move us all through, and charge top dollar. Do every scan but don't explain why, or what they are even for. I am so saddened that this is our healthcare now.

They may have good doctors but their time management is terrible. Been here for two hours after scheduled time and still haven't seen the doctor. Receptionist are as slow as molasses in January.

I had an excellent experience at the eye institute with friendly techs and staff as well as my doctor. I appreciated the time and care provided over the last couple of years. I feel thankful I was able to receive non judgmental treatment because I knew other people with my condition who have not been as lucky in other facilities.

Unethical practices!!! Be sure to say that you want NO student or resident participation in your care! This is the only way to protect yourself. I was told prior to surgery there was a resident anesthesiologist. An anesthesiologist said they would be there supervising the whole time. I said fine. I signed the consent form. I woke up during surgery to my Dr operating on my right eye and a resident operating on my left eye. I asked what was going on, who they were, said it was not ok, stop! My Dr told me to stop talking or I would mess up my eyes. He then continued letting the resident operate on me while he was operating. He can't supervise what they are doing if he himself is operating. I confronted him after and he told me his students education was very important to him - I said then he shouldn't take patients because letting the student continue after I said no was clearly unethical. I contacted the Eye Institute's patient services and they did a review and sent me a letter saying I signed the consent. So basically if you are verbally told about one resident and you sign thinking you are consenting to that one resident, you are actually giving them a blanket consent to sneak in anyone they want because the written agreement is technically worded that way. The only way to cover yourself is to agree to NONE. State it loud and to everyone!!! Cross it out on everything! You have the right to say you don't want student/resident participation!!! Otherwise you run the risk of waking up to a nightmare. I wish I could say the resident did a good job on my eye but they botched it. I had to have a foreign body removed, had to have eye lashes removed because they started growing into my eyelid. I have problems blinking, the list goes on. And you guessed it, they won't do anything about it other than collect my bill. I am sure they are collecting tuition from the student that used me as their guinea pig too! Do not let them use you to train their students in this deplorable and unethical manor!!! You should 1000% have the right to decide who is cutting on you!

They get one star because the doctors I have seen are typically good and know what they are talking about. However, I have never gone to an appointment and seen the doctor less than an hour after my actual appointment time. If my appointment is 3:30, I know I will not be seen until 4:30 at the earliest! I don't know if they overbook, or if the staff is incompetent, or if they are just understaffed but it is ridiculous. As I'm writing this review, I have been here for 2.5 hours and still not seen my ophthalmologist.
