I went to the place on 12-08-25 and received excellent service and was able to get a very nice pair of glasses order and had a wonderful exam with the optometrist.
my son received glasses from there and I paid for the tinted lens after a month and a half of waiting, they only tinted one lens! He is very vision impaired and it is sad seeing him struggle due to their negligence. also, Mia is the most worst example of leadership!
They sent them back, and I still have not received them! Mia keeps telling me she will call me back, but never does. She said she just got off vacation, and that is why my calls have not been answered in the past week I have been calling, so I asked, was the store closed down while she was on vacation, and she got an even worse attitude. This is the worst experience ever.
I must add that the Doctor was great!!!!!
I had an app. April 4th. The Dr. was great. The 2 people dealing with the customers were the most unprofessional, unskilled and disrespectful to clientele I've ever encountered in 73yrs. After my exam, while waiting to be fitted, I tried to defuse a conversation the 2 customer representatives were having with a gentleman regarding him waiting over 2 months for his glasses. I couldn't believe how disrespectful and dismissive they were towards him. I felt compelled to try and relay his concerns to them in a respectful way! After he left, I asked her why they 'd been so dismissive of him. They then went on a 10 minute rant about said customer.
5 weeks later, I'm calling different Vision Mart stores trying to find out any hours they'd be open as they were always always closed. The next day, I got a call from them. I was happy thinking my glasses were finally in after 6 weeks.... No...No. She was calling to tell me a mistake had been made and I needed to pay $80.00 more. I ultimately said let's just cancel everything, you refund my money that I paid out of pocket, and cancel the order through my insurance co. The woman tried 3 times to do this, asking for my card number 3 different times, finally said I 'll need to call the "lab" for my $$ back. When I asked her to release the order through my insurance, she then said "you'll have to get it from the lab. When I expressed how unprofessional this whole encounter was, she said "I can't do this!" And hung up on me. Sooooo, I have no glasses, and no refund! DON'T GO TO VISION MART in West Allis!!!!!
You cannot go off of their hours online. My husband stopped by to drop off insurance card as was told by The reps in order to place my order for my son's glasses online it says they close at five. My husband showed up at 4:15 and they were closed when I went to inquire about the glasses the first time on a Wednesday they say they closed at five online it's at six. One of the representatives were very short on helping me the other scene very busy that when I asked her for some help she seemed a little annoyed at first, but Once I told her never mind, I didn't want any help. She assured me that she can help At least get measurements, but I had to be the one to initiate that option and look at Pairs of glasses.
Update: once again came Saturday 10:52 am online says 10:00am STILL closes. Will not be coming here ever again! Can't imagine how difficult it would be to have them place the order for glasses and when and if I would get glasses. Don't recommend
You've probably seen all the one star reviews from the past few years - they had me nervous for my appointment. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised!! The person working the front desk and doing the pre-exams was so kind and personable. It was my first time and she explained each process and kept me laughing the whole time. The doctor was also very kind and personable, explaining the processes with me and sharing a lovely conversation to distract me from the discomfort of bright lights. I ended up not needing glasses, but other customers there were purchasing glasses and the employees were very knowledgeable and helpful. I would absolutely go back next time I need an exam!
I have gotten several pairs of glasses here and since I have had great service I planned on getting another pair of regular glasses and sunglasses. Time has not been kind to this store and I don't know why. I had been calling and calling and nobody ever answered the phone. I actually called the store when I was standing right outside. I could hear it ring and both women in the store looked at it and completely ignored it! I walked in to ask them how to make an appointment and they were incredibly rude and had an attitude that was totally uncalled for. I tried calling the number they gave me several times without any luck. I will NEVER call this store or go to any of their other locations either. Whoever owns this store needs to get rid of the people who work there now and start over with people who actually want to be there and are good at a customer service position. If that doesn't happen soon I can't see that store staying open much longer. All he has to do is look at the current reviews compared to the ones 4-5 years ago and see how big the difference is. I hope he overhauls it soon because I liked the glasses, they were made really well and they had great customer service as well. Good luck!
I've been going to this establishment for MANY years. It was great up til 2 yrs ago when two new people started. Ever since I've had nothing but complete disappointment. One year ago I went in with a new prescription and it was denied, I was told it was entered as a replacement pair when in fact it was a NEW prescription. So I'd be screwed for a year until I received another new prescription. I ended up paying out of so I can see. Somewhere along the lines it was screwed up yet AGAIN. I RECEIVED my new glasses and they were ordered wrong or made wrong. I checked up on if they right pair came in only to be told there is nothing they can do. And the lab told her they will not make my glasses anymore, that I need to go to Hersloft. . This is NOT my mess up, Now I'm sitting here with bifocals instead of trifocals. To be honest, I suspect this isn't even the current prescription because I can see out of them. The last thing she told me was oh well. My prescription is from September 20th. And I'm just getting this answer with an attitude today?! That woman is so rude and unprofessional, she needs to be fired! I want the other ladies back!!! I seriously been going there for over 20 yrs but it's time to look for other establishments to take my business to.
I submitted a complaint to the BBB regarding this business. If you are still waiting on glasses like I have from this company. Then I suggest you submit a complaint as well. I ordered my replacement pair of glasses on December 29th of last year and have not even so much as received a call back from them. They had no problem contacting me for $50 towards the replacement pair though (which I then paid them! After that, nothing!
Follow up: the only time they called me was on December 28th. This was to pay the $50 towards the replacements. Any other times they stated are lies. I could even follow this up with screen shots if need be. I reached out to them multiple times only to have the phone ring continuously. One time they answered and immediately hung up. If you mess up in a business. You do not lie, and you do not attempt to gaslight a customer. It reflects a lot on that business then. Just admit when something is done wrong and own up to it!
Update: STILL have not received a refund through the mail. They said they would give me the 50 back and I still have not gotten anything!
