Vision Center - Bonnie C. Kovacs, OD

Dr. Kovacs' has examined my 'baby blues' over the course of several years now. I am always impressed by her knowledge, the care I receive and what totally blows me away each time is the incredible equipment that she has to help insure that my eye health is at its very best! BTW - they recently moved to 50 S. King Street.

She is always so kind. You can tell she really cares for her patients. If you want a someone who really cares about you I definitely recommend.

As a loyal customer of 6 years (bought all contacts and glasses here as I like to shop locally) I was stunned today when I stopped in for help. I needed to order contacts (and get them quickly!) and was told "there was nothing they could do" as my prescription (with them) was expired by a month and a half. Wow. I guess what I would have liked (and expected) was "Hi. Sure we can get you some lenses. Let's see what we can do for you". Instead I got - "No. No. No the optics reps don't let us sell lenses. No. Sorry. Sorry. No." Strange indeed. Have moved on to new eye doctor! thanks.

To the person upset and gave a bad review because your prescription is expired. That has nothing to do with customer service. That's what's required. That's the law. Don't give a bad review because they are following the rules. They do good here. Great exam and got my glasses within a couple days.

Dr. Kovacs and her staff are top notch. They take the time to answer my questions and concerns. I am impressed how up to date Dr. Kovacs is with leading technology. I believe she has my eye health as a priority. I would highly recommend Dr. Kovacs. Lisa Hunt

Absolutely amazing! They have the most wonderful/helpful staff and Bonnie is fantastic. My insurance doesn't cover them but I still prefer to go get my exams there because of how well they take care of me.

I'm a competitor and friend to the Vision Center. I am posting this because people need to realize that contact lenses are a medical device and should only be dispensed with a current prescription. In response to the person who gave the Vision Center a bad review, you cannot go to a pharmacy and request a drug that has an expired prescription. Contact lenses are dispensed with the same laws that drugs are. It would be very irresponsible of an Optometric Clinic to hand out contacts to somebody with an expired prescription. The reason why the prescription expires is you need an annual exam to make sure the cornea is in good health and can continue to wear contacts. I doubt the last reviewer was able to get contacts anywhere else without first getting an eye exam. In a sense, her decision hurt both parties.

Went to purchase new glasses and have existing ones (VERY expensive frames) tinted. When picked up they were broken with clear evidence of a poor attempt to glue them back together. I've called seven times and left messages with receptionist and sent a certified letter .... none of which have been responded to. I cannot believe that a professional LOCAL shop would behave this way. Small claims is the only route left to recover $400+ loss. What a shameful way to operate.
