Dr. Brummitt is great. He is friendly and takes the time to make sure you understand exactly what's going on with your eyes. His staff is competent and friendly. The main thing I like is how thorough Dr. Brummitt is. The staff out front at the reception desk are very kind. They make you feel welcome and safe. It's a great place.

It was my first time seeing Dr. Michael Brummitt I wish he was my doctor since I started wearing glasses best Dr. I can ask for! He is kind take his time to explain to me, and all his staff were nice also including the glasses section can't go wrong! I love it there.

I called in the morning of my appointment told them I would be little late the women told never can only give you 10 minutes, I got there a little after 10 minutes there was no welcome!! I gave my name to the front desk women she got up told me I will see I they can see you keeping in mind in the big lobby there was no one there except one couple!! The woman came back and said they will see me I thought great!!
She told me to take a seat so I did within 5 minutes someone came out said my name and off I went with her she was nice Jana!
The doctor and the lady who works with him were super nice.
But the front desk super miserable!!
There is no smile or Panache!! They are the for front of this business no drive to smile or say hello or good morning!!
Makes you wonder do you want to go back to that place.

My Opthomologist did not take enough time for me to explain all of my symptoms to him for a diagnosis. He Seemed to be in a hurry at the end of his day. I am 75 and retired nurse now it takes more time for me to retain diagnosis and treatment. I felt very rushed as a patient. It was not a pleasant doctor patient visit.

Dr Brummitt is the best. Diagnosed my eye issue and set me on a course to recovery in record time. Would also like to thank the scheduler, Ronda, who recognized I needed to be seen due to eye pain and worked me in not once but twice. Then went way above expectation by actually following up with me after my visit to see if she could do anything else for me. Wow!

Dr. Michael L. Brummitt, MD, FAAO, was raised in Florence, Alabama, graduating from Bradshaw High School as a Mark of Excellence recipient. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham Southern College before finishing medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine under a full scholarship. He did his surgical/transitional intern year at Caraway Methodist Hospital and his residency at the Eye Foundation and University of Alabama in Birmingham Combined Program of Ophthalmology. During his residency, he received the honor of being appointed Chief Resident of the ophthalmology program.
