My teen granddaughter had an eye exam at her usual optometrist's office, she needed new glasses, but found none that she liked there or at the second place that we visited. We stopped to look at this shop and she found just the right ones. We were treated with the old fashioned attention and courtesy that I remember from childhood. The gentleman that waited on us was kind and carefully measured my granddaughter for the glasses. I wear glasses and I've had careful measurements done by any optical shop that I've used in over five decades. This grandma is impressed! It is so wonderful and so rare to find someone that takes great pride in his work.

Took my 11-year-old daughter for her yearly check-up--first time coming here, and we've officially found our forever eye doctor! Dr. Nelson truly cares, and you can tell he's passionate about his work and his patients. This was the only place in town that was able to get us in quickly and take the time to answer all our questions. The entire staff's customer service was amazing. We're so grateful we found them! We used to go to America's Best, but not anymore--thank you, Dr. Nelson and team!

I was disappointed with my visit today. I have had a great experience with Dr. Nelson in the past so I wanted to continue being seen by him. Well, I call ahead of time to see if HGO takes my insurance (and specifically ask about this!). I give them my insurance information and everything seemingly checks out. I get rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, no problem. I come to my appointment, which I took off time from work to do, and turns out I'm double booked with someone else and I'm out of network. Why not tell people ahead of time so they don't waste their time? I didn't find it very considerate.

One staff member was patient and kind answering my concerning question while the other staff member who wasn't even in our conversation butted in with a loud, rude, and hostile response. Made me uncomfortable and immediately made me feel like I didn't belong in their store due to not being knowledgeable about their profession... poor experience. Lost my business.. overall terrible experience and irritated I even wasted my time on my 30 minute lunch break going to this establishment.
