I just had my first medical & refraction appointment with Dr. Carrie Miranda, and it was excellent. She was very, very thorough and explained what and why each procedure was being done. She does not rush you through each step and answers all your questions. In addition, she was very detailed in determining the best lens prescription for my glasses including testing different lens inside and outside her office. An appointment will take longer than the larger practices because she handles all aspects of the exam. You definitely get a very "personal" experience! How refreshing! My husband is going to make an appointment for his annual medical eye exam with Dr. Miranda.

I feel so fortunate to have found Doctor Miranda and her place of business. This was the best and most comfortable eye exam I have ever had with previous doctors. She was so attentive and professional while keeping a very heartfelt and compassionate conversation going. It was like a breath of fresh air after my stressful not having glasses week. I could tell she really cared not just for my sight but for my well being. I appreciate that and her attentiveness. I walked right through the hall and picked out some awesome new frames and sunglasses at the Sunglass Emporium with ease from their help and suggestions. They really know their stuff. Doctor Miranda hit my prescription spot on with her methods. My vision has never felt so effortless and the frames I have now are super comfy. Im stoked!!!

Dr Miranda does a thorough and professional eye exam, not the rushed eye exam that you might get at one of those corporate owned eyeglass stores. I'm not knocking the optometrists who work in those sort of places, it just that they are under tremendous pressure to move patients through quickly. I'm sure they do the best job possible under those circumstances but I prefer to be checked by someone who doesn't have to work under such strict time constraints. She has been doing eye exams for myself as well as other members of my family for years. She is the best optometrist that I know of.

Vision Restored. Ok, I wasn't blind, but my former OD was sending me to the ophthalmologist he had chosen for me without getting my input on that topic (yes, I felt railroaded). They even got me to sign a bunch of papers for that procedure and name a date before Good Fortune got me out of there and took me over to a second opinion with Dr Miranda.
Wow! Here was a doctor who actually talked with me and wanted to know what I thought about my situation. More importantly, when she did the refraction that my former OD could not make work well enough for me to pass my driver's exam, she got better results than he had ever gotten!
I could tell a lot more good stuff about Dr Miranda, but will limit myself to saying I can easily pass the eye exam now and have postponed the cataract surgery until it is needed.
