First off let me say that Dr. Ray is professional, honest, and cares about your vision. Unfortunately his front staff doesn't. I'm not sure who the little girl at the front desk is, but she has no idea what professional means. She's snarky, rude and has a severe attitude problem. Both times I've dealt with her, she's made it seem like it was beneath her and a bother. First time was on 10/13/25 when I was there for my initial appointment. I handed her my paper work and she looked at it like it was covered in dirt and said give it to the dr. She kept forgetting my name and spent most of her time talking to the other guys there. When my husband was making an appointment and he asked for 4pm instead of 3:45. Her reply was "like 15 minutes wil make THAT much of a difference." My second encounter with here was today, 11/17/25. I've had issues with my glasses since getting them on 10/23/25. They were just for reading, but i couldn't see or read anything unless it was right against my nose. I explained all this to her and verified my info. She sighed and asked again why I was there. I started to explain again and she cut me off and said "they're for reading ". I said that I understand that and gave time. She cut me off again and said the person that needs to deal with me isn't there and she took a phone call. I said fine and started to leave. Her attitude went from bad to worse and said I'd have to wait. I told her for what he's not here. Her reply was "well if you would've kept quiet and let me finish i would've told you he would be right back. Or are you just fishing for a refund?" I turned around to leave and she sighed, rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath. That's when I slammed the glasses on her counter and said have a good day sweetie and walked out. I'm out $150 plus my vision benefits for the year. Should've just bought the cheaters off Amazon

I had a great experience at Sierra Vista Vision overall. The level of care provided by the staff, particularly Val, was outstanding. Val went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of smoothly and professionally--he truly made my visit feel personalized and stress-free. He absolutely deserves a raise for his incredible customer service! The doctor was also wonderful--very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I felt genuinely cared for during my appointment, and all my questions were answered in detail. Unfortunately, the girl at the registration table wasn't as welcoming. Her attitude came across as dismissive and lacked the professionalism I'd expect from such a great clinic. That said, the rest of the team more than made up for it. Thank you, Val and the doctor, for making my visit so positive. I'll definitely recommend Sierra Vista Vision for their excellent care!

Huge rave for Dr Ray and his Staff at Sierra Vista Vision! For years I've seen another Dr. and due to the outrageous wait time for an appointment I decided to try someone new and I'm so thrilled that I did! Starting with the staff, I was greeted by everyone in the front when I walked in. I didn't catch the name of the young lady at the first desk but her customer service skills are fantastic and she's a lot of fun when trying on new frames. Which brings me to the subject of the GREAT selection of frames in every price range to choose from, that was a refreshing change too. Then there's the doc.....he's super professional and patient with great tips for this old girl and her dry eyes. He's a wonderful family man and has cute stories about his kids. Then I took my chosen new frames to Frank who explained in detail every option in putting my new glasses together and what my insurance would and wouldn't cover. I have to tell you for as long as I was went to the other shop no one ever explained all the options. I walked out feeling like I had just been treated like I was someone special. I think all customers want and enjoy that feeling. Everyone in the practice was 100% professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and very kind!!! I hope you'll give them a try when it's time for you exam.

The optometrist is incredible don't get that part wrong. Unfortunately the female who apparently schedules is rude, and condescending. She should not be in a customer service role. My family and I have been going to this eye doctor for 4+ years but not anymore.

I'm extremely disappointed to share my recent experience with this eye care practice. After a 2-3 year search, I finally found them again, only to be met with a rude and unaccommodating front desk staff. I had previously had an exceptional experience with the doctor at this practice, which is why I refused to see anyone else. When my sister finally found their new location, I was thrilled to schedule an appointment. However, my excitement was short-lived. The front desk woman I spoke with was curt and unfriendly. Despite sharing my story and expressing my enthusiasm for finding the doctor again, she seemed uninterested and dismissive. When I asked for the latest available appointment, she offered me a morning slot, which I explained wouldn't work. Instead of offering the latest appointment as I requested, she presented me with a series of options, eventually settling on a 3:30 pm appointment on a Monday. When I inquired about the out-of-pocket cost and the additional fee for a contact lens test, she abruptly cut me off with the prices. I was taken aback by her brusque demeanor. To make matters worse, when I missed a confirmation call from the practice, I was unable to reach them to confirm my appointment. I called multiple times, only to receive dead tones or two rings and the call would end. This lack of communication between both parties left me uncertain about my appointment and unwilling to risk the 30-40 minute drive to find out it wasn't confirmed. My vehicle constantly leaves me stranded and I could not risk the uncertainty. On the day of my appointment, the same front desk woman called to confirm, and I explained my situation. Instead of offering a solution or offering to reschedule, she responded with attitude, said bye, and hung up on me before I could even ask to reschedule. It's disheartening to say that my experience with the front desk staff has soured me on this practice. Despite my previous positive experience with the doctor, I will not be returning to this new location. The rude and unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff is unacceptable, and I will be taking my business and loyalty elsewhere. I want to emphasize that my negative experience is solely with the front desk staff, not the doctor. I'm sure he is still an excellent professional, but I will not be returning to this practice due to the poor service I received. I will be sharing this review on Yelp, where I've seen similar complaints about the staff.

I had a really good experience with the eye doctor and front desk. We are a family of 5 and they got us all scheduled. The doctor was very personable and easy to speak with. The front desk workers were welcoming. We'll definitely be going back. It did take two full weeks to get the glasses so if you need emergency frames, you may want to take your prescription elsewhere.

The front desk girl is always rude everytime I go in there. Not sure why she has a customer service job. It's really I shame I can't give zero stars because this place sucks and even with all the same bad reviews about the same lady this place still does nothing about it. Should find someone who can actually do their job properly and maybe your reviews would be more positive then negative. The doc is a cool guy tho no complaints about him. So I guess the 1 star goes to him.
