Walmart Vision & Glasses

I was shown a dozen frames, and the tech went through each with me. We voted on which ones went best with the shape of my face. In the end I got a pair of reading glasses and a pair of distance lenses in two of the frames we both liked. My insurance will cover a new pair of distance glasses in 2027 and planning to have this vision center do the work.

The eye doctor they have there currently is trash. She got my contact prescription wrong and kept saying "You're seeing 20/20" when I told her I could not see some letters from far away. It's hard to drive with the contacts, can't even drive at night with them. It took me a few weeks to get decent contacts, only for the prescription to be wrong. I don't get it cause she got my glasses prescription right. Very bad doctor, wouldn't recommend this place. Plus the customer service is terrible.

I received amazing advice from Sandra about how to find glasses that don't slide down your nose. She was also very patient and extremely helpful in guiding me to choices that would work for me. Fantastic experience!

They don't currently have their own clinician, but that will change and is irrelevant to this review as they take any doc's RX. I gotta give 5 big ones because their service was stellar! Calling out Sydney! She was so good on the phone, I went over to see what they had to offer. Sydney was fantastic! Picked up glasses and sunglasses and could not be happier with the quality and fit and style! Saved nearly $200 to boot! Honestly was pleasantly surprised with all aspects of this purchase and interaction with ALL the staff. Anita..talking bout you too girl! Give them a chance on your next eyeglass purchase!! I'm extremely happy!

Purchased the insurance, when my glasses broke I brought them in to get replaced. They took my glasses, for the next 2.5 months I couldn't see and they never called. I then went down there and the manager went to the rack on the wall, grabbed the frames everyone had been using to try on and gave me those. They didn't even put my old lenses in right and the plastic band around the lenses was sticking out poking me in the nose. When I tried to take them back because they were falling apart they claimed I never even used the insurance, apparently the store manager never even entered it in the system, no wonder 2.5 months later I never got called. The assistant manager started making allegations I was lying when I told her what happened and wouldn't help me. I ended up having to trim the plastic band off with toe nail clippers. It's my fault why would I go to Walmart for glasses, don't go there! Look at the pic, the plastic fell off my glasses, now they poke me in the head.

I went in to purchase contacts and I just feel like Victoria needs to work on her customer service skills a bit more. She barely said anything to me, she just started putting my information in after she asked could she look at my prescription. After putting my information in, I informed her that I would be using insurance. I saw on the tablet that she had me down for 4 boxes so I told her that I only wanted to purchase 3 boxes. She then proceeds to tell me that she was only going to sell me 3 boxes anyway because that's the amount that would get me through to my next prescription update. I asked her why was that a Walmart thing and she proceeds to say something about the contact rule book 7 point something which instantly turned me off. I really just wanted to know if that was a thing because I usually purchase my contacts around the same time every year and I always get a year supply from where a usually go and purchase them from. So I really didn't know about the rule book. Then after all of that she tells me that my insurance is not covered at that Walmart' location. Ultimately, it was probably for the best because I really wasn't feeling her vibe or treatment.

I can't express in words how helpful Victoria was during my visit at the Vision Center store #1240 located in Walmart in Sierra Vista, AZ. She was able to inform me about wait times for eye doctors, give a temporary solution in the mean time, and offered tips on effectively handling insurance calls. She handled every concern I brought forward authentically with top-notch customer service. She truly listened to our needs, and I felt heard, respected, and validated. Sierra Vista is a remote location where it's not unheard of that waitlists are long and resources or doctors are limited, but having great employees like Victoria to help navigate this process made me feel reassured.

Ordered some new prescription sunglasses from here.. had lost the previous pair they made for me.. they are the best! Easy process for picking the frames and requesting specifics for the lens. Extremely fast turnaround and reasonably priced. Everyone working there is very knowledgeable and pleasant. Keep up the great work!!
