The Roski Eye Institute was recommended to me by my eye doctor. She indicated that I needed a specialist. I was happy to find this location, as it is close to where I live. It's a beautiful location with a nice outside atrium by the office entry. It is easy to find and has a large parking lot. Inside the office the staff was efficient and helpful with the check-in process. There are a number of doctors at this location, so it is busy at times. The check-in process was easy and the wait time was normal for a doctor. The first appointment is alway stressful. The staff was very patient with me. All protocols for COVID-19 are followed. It's nice to go to a doctor's office and have a good experience.

I've never experienced a doctor's office like this one. I initially went to the Roski Eye Institute in DTLA seeking help for recurring styes. There, I was referred to Dr. Zhang in Arcadia for BBL. Dr. Zhang was described as exceptional. I'm sure she is. However, I can't comment on her skill or her manner because I never was able to see her. Not for lack of trying. In February, I made an appt for May 30th. When May 30 rolled around I arrived at the office at 10:30 AM for an 11 AM appointment. At 1:30 PM a staff member came into the waiting room and told me I should go get lunch because the doctor was running behind. I had taken off work and borrowed my husband's car in order to have this procedure done, so I was frustrated, but also hungry so I took their advice to leave and return in 45 minutes. As soon as I drove out of the parking lot, I received a call from the office informing me I actually couldn't be seen that day. It would be too tight a squeeze and I should go home and reschedule. Which was... I still don't know how to describe it. I just didn't realize this was something that could happen at a doctor's office. When I expressed my frustration to the woman on the phone, she told me, "that's life with Dr. Zhang." I was still desperate to have this procedure done so I did reschedule. For July 25th. Then, on July 20, I received another phone call telling me the doctor would no longer be in on the 25th and I would need to reschedule again. When I reached out to USC for a place to lodge this experience internally they simply offered to reschedule me. So if you have a very flexible schedule and 6+ months to wait, Dr. Zhang sounds great!

Dr. Linda Lam is the best and she was so attentive and knowledgeable in handling my Retina swelling issue resulted from a cataract surgery done by another colleague. I wish I have gone to Dr Her instead for my initial cataract surgery in the first place and he later took over my cataract replacement issue and everyone at the clinic is so professional and courteous especially Sylvia Rea.

Prior to February 2015, my eyesight had diminished to below 20/100 and declining rapidly. I had already lost sight in one eye, as well as the ability to perform in my previous line of work. My diagnosis required a numerous amount of surgeries in attempts to save my sight, and live with some degree of normalcy. Unfortunately, during one attempt at a surgery, I had a really bad reaction to the local anesthesia medication. Dr. Lam, they tell me, happened to be in the next room performing a procedure and was called in response to the emergency. She advised, that the surgery be aborted. I truly believe, that her immediate intervention saved what sight I have left. I truly don"t know if I would be seeing today, if it had not been for Dr. Lam. I have been under Dr. Linda Lam's care for over 5 years now. Under her care and recommendations, her fellow Doctors, Richter, Heur, and Reznik are all exceptional in their profession. The staff and techs are always friendly and helpful. Five Stars is really an understatement to how Dr. Lam is so meticulous and thorough in her work. Highly recommended.

I was at the door and young Asian woman got scared and walked away from me like she saw me with covid disease as she was asking about my initial app.questions. She shouldn't treat patients like that. She should treat everyone same She shouldn't be working there. I saw her talking to other patients so close. Is it because I'm an asian? She should just stay home and watch her kids I would not go back there getting treated like that I did wait for about 30 minutes but I don't mind

It has taken me 3 days to get someone to answer the phone regarding an appointment at the Arcadia location!! Each time I called I was kept on hold for over an hour. Very frustrating!!! I will be looking for a more professional ophthalmologist.
