After reading hundered of reviews, viewing dozens of before and after pictures, and researching every criteria that makes up an excellent eye surgeon, Dr. Iyengar was far and above the most impressive of all the options in the San Diego area. I met him for a consultation, and it was obvious I had selected the right person for the job. The complete process, from beginning to end, was as smooth as possible. The staff, as well as their communication, was timely and very professional. But most of all, Dr. Iyengar was amazing, and the outcome of my procedure exceeded all expectations. He is a gifted oculoplastic surgeon who strives for natural results, and that is exactly what he delivered. I honestly could not have hoped for a more natural and amazing outcome. Another 5-star review for Dr. Iyengar and his team. I've had hooded eyelids for many years, and over the past decade it became increasingly worse, affecting my eyesight and self-esteem. I've never had surgery and was very nervous about getting the surgery. When I finally got up the courage, I did extensive research and decided Dr. Iyengar was the right surgeon. I had the surgery in December and could not be happier with the results. The procedure itself was very easy. I was nervous about being awake while having incisions across my eyelids. Dr. Iyengar explained everything he was doing and put me at ease. It was very quick, easy and painless. The recovery was also easier than I expected. Maybe a little discomfort where the stitches were, but no pain. I had the surgery 6 weeks ago and the scars are barely visible. I'm very grateful to Dr. Iyengar and his team! I wish I had done this years ago!

Having a scary skin cancer on my lower eye lid, and would need Mohs surgery and a skin graph, I did some research, and after a few appointments I chose Dr Iyengar. He did a great job and was caring and called me to make sure I was doing ok after the surgery. Finding a Dr. who not only does fantastic work and cares and follows through is rare. The entire office experience was calming, and I am recommending him to all my friends. Thank You Dr. Iyengar for taking care of my eye lid.

I had MOHS surgery for skin cancer near the corner of my eye. Left a "huge" hole, was sent to Dr. Iyengar for repair surgery and even though I still have some scar tissue, I feel confident I will look normal a year after my surgery. Great doctor and staff!!! Would highly recommend his office to anyone

I am so happy with my upper eyelid surgery. Getting an consultation is quick, Dr. Iyengar explained the procedure thoroughly and I had zero doubt to go with him. The procedure was so easy, quick and painless and the outcome is amazing. Just a local anesthetic used and my eyes look 15 years younger. Dr Iyengar is an excellent surgeon.

I first heard about Dr. Iyengar about 7-8 years ago when a patient told me that she just had upper eyelid surgery ( I'm also a physician). I complimented her that her eyes looked very natural, and that I wouldn't know that she had eyelid surgery if she didn't tell me. She gave me his business card, and I kept it tucked away, as I thought I was not the kind of person who would consider cosmetic surgery, but as I got older & my upper eyelids start to sag, they make me look tired and I feel that I have to strain my eyelid muscles to keep them up, leading to headache, so I decided to pursue upper eyelid surgery. As any patient would, I did some research and found out that eyelid surgery should be done by an OCULOPLASTIC SURGEON, not "just" a plastic surgeon and luckily, Dr. Iyengar is one of those. I was initialy a little apprehensive and requested 2 things: that my eyes will still look natural, and that people would not know that I had eyelid surgery, and he gave me both. Besides my husband who knew about the surgery, no one else including my siblings has said anything, so I just don't tell them haha. Looking at the Before and After pictures, I can definitely see a difference and I'm glad I did it. I no longer look tired, and my eyes feel more relaxed, as I no longer have to strain my upper eyelid muscles to keep them up. I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar! C.N.,M.D.
