Harry E. Enenstein, OD Optometric Center of Encino

My reading glasses, the nose pad broke off, so I went to the office of Dr. Harry Enenstein to get them fix. The Asian lady sitting at the front desk whose name is Jasmin was not nice at all . She told me my glasses were not covered by my insurance because I needed a referral from my primary doctor, otherwise I would have to pay $100. The funny thing is last year Dr. Enenstein did an exam of my eyes, got glasses and cost me nothing and they never asked me for a referral from my doctor. Jasmin was not knowledgeable at all, she is cold and incompetent , she does not know how to treat customers she is just horrible. I left the office very upset and disappointed. Next thing I did, i went to America's Best Contacts and eyeglasses and what a huge difference with the service and professionalism. The lady that took care of me was extremely helpful and said my insurance would cover for new glasses and still have money left . She didn't asked for a referral from my doctor at all all she did was check my insurance and voila my new, beautiful glasses will be ready in two weeks. I am never going back to Dr. Enenstein again after this outrageous experience with Jasmin, the Asian woman.she is a liability for the business.

Worst experience ever. We drove over an hour to find out that they don't even take our insurance EVEN THOUGH, I called and texted and sent them the insurance information ahead of time. Their answer "understaffed." It is so frustrating when you try to be proactive and they don't even respond.

I was SHOCKED to see the low rating (although there is only 1 review). I've been bringing my 4 children here for several years, I usually deal with David to schedule (he has been nothing but professional and pleasant) and the other ladies are also very nice here (sorry I don't recall their names, but are very sweet). Dr. Enenstein is always nice (jokes around with the kids). NO discrimination felt/seen/heard from us...we are brown & black (mixed cultures, too many to name). They do have very PRICEY options for eye wear, but...hello...they are a BUSINESS in ENCINO (don't get me wrong, they have "value" options here too, but if you're looking for cheap bargains, need to head to Van Nuys or Downtown LA...not on a major boulevard in an upscale area...retail space rent has to be paid SOMEHOW so products are marked up). My personal experience has been great!

DON'T Recommed Them they OVER CHARGE for glasses and they are Very RUDE and THEY DISCRMINATE latinos THEY take advantage of pepole with learning disabilities
