Lucent Vision

I started looking into lens replacement surgery because my vision was affecting my ability to play and do sports and activities that I love to do, as well as struggling to read and complete paperwork for work if the font was too small. I heard that this procedure had the ability to eliminate the need for glasses or contacts, and so I was intrigued. I went looking for a doctor that had a great reputation, and Dr. Pathak has just that. And for great reason! From first consult, throughout the surgery, as well as the post-op follow-up appointments, he was patient, confident in his abilities, and extremely comforting to a nervous patient like myself. I had worries about having surgery on my eyes and having it go terribly wrong, but he walked me through the statistics and how safe it actually is, and so I went for it. The surgery was pretty easy, way easier than I expected it to be! He did well walking me through every step of the way, always making sure I knew what was happening and what to expect. It took roughly 45 minutes, and then it was done. And what was great, was that I could see better immediately. I didn't know how much better since I had plastic clear covers over my eyes, but it was better than before for sure. But now that I'm all done and healed, I've got 20/20 and no more glasses ever!! Thank you so much Dr. Pathak and Lucient Vision, I am forever grateful!!

My experience with Lucent Vision has been nothing less than exceptional :) If I had to endorse any ophthalmologists within the Orange County area for SMILE, Dr. Pathak's expertise with this specific procedure would be my go to recommendation. Dr. Pathak takes the time to understand each patient's background, and meticuously answers any personal question from years of clinical practice. What stood out to me the most during my consultation was his notable transparency with breaking down my current condition to align me with not just the best, but most realistic procedure for the absolute optimal outcome, always weighing the patient's general welfare and risk tolerance over cost or more aggressive options. His expertise, friendliness, and comfortable environment actually hardly made me nervous for surgery, and I would repeat his easy SMILE procedure in a heartbeat if I had to do it over again. I also had a such a wonderful time interacting with Cyndi as she is incredibly receptive to any additional inquiries regarding all aspects post operation. Both Cyndi and Dr. Pathak made the clinic feel welcoming and at ease, and am glad to have ultimately chose Lucent Vision for a procedure with such lasting impact :))

Prior to my cataract surgery I looked through a gray cloud, especially in my right eye. After the surgery I realized what had been slowly taken away from me. The world had much more color, I could read menus in a dimly lit restaurant and no longer required glasses or contact lenses. Dr. Pathik did an excellent job. I recommend Lucent Vision to anyone who has cataract problems.

I love Doctor Pathak and Cyndi at the front desk, they made me feel, after 4 years, like it was yesterday when I came in. Dr. Pathak is professional through and through, and came through today, I had to get a check up on my retina after being blasted in the eyes with a scanner laser at work. He checked me throughly, and followed up with a few suggestions that might save my vision in the future, I appreciate this outfit to the moon, and anybody thinking about getting service from them will be happily pleased! Dr. Pathak at Lucent Vision is an excellent Ophthalmologist. He corrected my vision 5 years ago with Cataracts. I have been seeing an optometrist since then. My eyesight has been excellent until my left eye needed a small procedure which only a qualified physician could do. Dr. Pathak handled it yesterday in his office quite successfully. My vision has already cleared up in one day! Thank you Dr.Pathak!

I had an amazing experience with Lucent Vision. Dr. Pathak, Cyndi, and the rest of the staff were all very kind and were amazing at responding to any questions I had, even outside of appointment times. I elected to get the SMILE surgery. Everything was explained about the surgery prior to it so there were no surprises the day of. The surgery was very quick and now I have great vision and I'm excited to no longer need glasses!

Eye Surgery was something I was both scared and excited for, and I knew having a good doctor would make all the difference. To be honest, I wasn't even exactly sure what my options were or what I wanted to do before I came to the office. Which is why I feel incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Pathak and his team. When I got there he took the time to explain the options to me -- and also ask me questions about my life to figure out what the best option for me was. Upon discussion and him answering my many questions we settled on SMILE -- a form of laser eye surgery that has a faster recovery than LASIK. I was a little nervous at first because it was something I hadn't heard much about -- obviously we all know LASIK. I can confidently say I'm more than happy with how my SMILE procedure came out. My recovery took just a few days, I was able to shower and live my life pretty normally after the procedure and even though it's been a month or two since my procedure I still feel grateful every day that I'm able to see. To be honest, what really sets apart this office though is the level of care they provide. They're incredibly accommodating, patient, kind and personable. Everyone on the staff takes the time to see you as a human being -- not just a way for them to make money. I've had many good laughs with everyone at the office and always feel safe and cared for. I can tell that the priority is to have patients leave happier than they did when they arrived. I feel like I've only met a handful of medical offices where this is true. Sometimes people try to fake it and that's understandable and okay too, but here it just feels so genuine. This is a place I would 100000% recommend to any family, friend or stranger. You would definitely be missing out by not coming here.
