I saw Dr Tawansy on 8/29/25, and am still waiting to hear back from the office staff regarding the date of my procedure. I have a skin tag on my eyelid that is getting bigger and hangs down obscuring my vision. While I understand this is not urgent, it is very bothersome. The doctor said someone would call me in 7-10 days but no one has. I've left voice mail messages for the Surgery Scheduler and also called to leave written messages to no avail. It has been almost 4 weeks since my appointment and when I called my insurance a few days ago to ask the status of the authorization, I was told there was nothing on file. An improvement in timely communication with patients is definitely needed.

Getting a hold of them is almost impossible. One of their phone numbers says the office is closed all the time. The other number when you call or you go through menus push numbers and at the end, you either wind up with a voicemail or they hang up on you. Also, doctor was scheduled for surgery at the same time. My husband had an appointment yet. They never called him to tell him his appointment would be changed. Inept!

This clinic is junk, every time you have an appointment, they make you wait minimum 2-3 hours beyond your scheduled appointment before you're seen by the doctor. They also cancel your appointments without calling you to let you know. Never going back again, they don't value their patients.

I have tried to contact them at the end of May, a few times in June and July regarding a date for my father's eye surgery. They said they don't know and will be called by Bernice, the scheduler for Dr. Stark's surgeries. I have no idea what kind of care my father needs before and after surgery. I have no idea what date the surgery is. I don't know if I need to take time off work to help care for my father. This month my phone calls haven't even gone through. they just drop after awhile on the phone tree or repeat the same message until the call drops. Horrible service. I am calling my father's insurance to get a referral somewhere else.

I drove to the address provided and saw a sign for the business and on the door it said permanent closed. I went home and waited for the phone lines to open only to be told it was a different suite. I was never given a suite number. I felt the people were incompetent. You would think the close suite should have directed people to the proper suite.

0 star I dont recommend it to any one - they dosent care about any one - please stay way from this location or pasadena location both is super bad service long time wait to see the doctor they keep canceling our appointments many times with no previous notice and no patient time respect. trivial excuse as no technician available wrong location or no doctor available no machine available or more ..... they gave is appointment for a cataract surgery as i need it we try to reach the service (appointment )for check up before the surgery they not answer the call Or they say we call you back and we wait then no one gave attention i was wondering if this place has management or they read the reviews !!! (Bad management and bad office service) .

mother had surgery on 8/9 (left eye cataract removal) after that, no one reached out to us for plan of care on her second surgery (right eye cataract removal) after 4 days of me calling on different numbers, and talkng to about 10 people, I was able to get ahold of the care coordinator and was told the next available surgery date is Sept. 26, thats about 7 weeks from the first surgery, i believe its unethical to fix 1 eye and wait 6 weeks for the other when the Dr. himself told us the gap is anything between 2-4 weeks. I feel bad for older patients who have no one that could follow up in their behalf, they would probably be ignored and neglected.

They should not be in business with such disrespect for their patient care. The worse place you could ever go for eye care. I only gave them 1 star bc I can't give them a minus. They cancelled me TWICE for my appts..one time it was 15 min before my appt time. First time...Dr Chin was sick...Second time...Dr Chin no longer works there. Their automated phone is atrocious. Yes...as others said, the phone hangs you up after putting you on hold. Finally gave up. Horrible, horrible place. Go elsewhere if you can. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!
