Dr Kline did my cataract surgery, so I do not need reading , or distance glasses any more He is professional, very kind, and their office staffs are very friendly and helpful

I chose Dr. Kline for a second opinion on whether I needed cataract surgery, just in case. And my choice was based on the proximity to where I live and work, as well as the referrals on Dr. Kline's web site. And Dr. Kline did operate on my eye and the outcome was exactly what he told me it would be! I'm glad I went through the procedure - steady hands! Now I also like to commend them for getting a sharp prescription for my glasses - I got the kind of implant lens where it's not restorative, but slightly nearsighted. Now my prescription is much simpler. And the new lenses and frames are outstanding! Post surgery my eyesight was remarkably improved. But now with the new glasses the difference is even greater! So yes I recommend Dr. Daniel C Kline for eye surgery if you need it and for the precision in getting prescriptions.

As part of a large HMO I was nervous about having eye surgery. I decided to find a surgeon who was well trained, experienced, with excellent reviews and to pay for it myself. I chose Dr Daniel Kline to remove a pterygium (a growth) from my eye. I could not be more pleased. His surgery center was in a beautiful location in Newport with a friendly and professional staff. The surgery result is flawless and Dr Kline was very kind, thorough and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Kline to my family or anyone who is need of eye care.

I developed cataracts in both eyes and asked my primary care physician to recommend the best ophthalmologist in the area. He suggested Dr. Kline. I could not be happier. Dr. Kline is extremely knowledgeable, very thorough, and extremely cautious in all that he does. Just the kind of Dr. you want treating your eyes. His staff is equally professional and courteous. Prior to my cataract surgery I had worn progressive lens glasses for many years. Dr. Kline has completed my surgery and I see perfectly without glasses! I can't say enough about Dr. Kline and his team.

Always well-organized, great staff, has late hours (our appt was at 5:30) and amazingly smart. Did fabulous cataract surgeries on both eyes last year, now my husband's turn! Highly recommend.

I am a 76 year old retired physician with type 2 diabetes and polyneuropathy. I was going blind from my over mature cataracts that many ophthalmologists were too afraid to remove because they considered me to be an extreme risk for the surgical procedure. At this point, my vision was progressively worsening where even the strongest glasses were of no value. Fortunately, I was able to to see the finest and most thorough ophthalmologist in Dr. Daniel Kline. After his very thorough and comprehensive evaluation he was able to schedule the surgery to remove my cataracts and implant a intra ocular prosthetic lens. His office, the surgical center and all employees were so thorough, empathetic, and genuinely concerned for my well being and surgical success. I now can see better and clearer than my childhood years. I can't say enough about Dr. Kline's overall superiority, medical excellence, and overall care he delivered. He is a doctor's doctor and ophthalmologist's ophthalmologist !! He is, by far, the finest, if not the best, ophthalmologist in our country. His office is also excellent with genuine concern for any and all problems you may have with your eyes. Dr. Kline might be wonderful. I think he probably is, and that is why I wanted an appointment with him with regard to my need for cataract surgery. His office staff, however, is another story. I left a message with Sandy, asking for a call back to discuss whether they would work with my insurance. After some telephone tag, I called her again. The woman answering the phone, Alice, said that Sandy was in and put me on hold, then came back and said that Sandy wanted to know what I wanted. I thought this was extremely rude. However, Alice said she could help me. I explained that I wanted to know if the office would work with my insurance before I made an appointment, as there is a $250 charge for an initial consultation. Alice asked that I e-mail a copy of my insurance information because neither she nor Sandy had ever heard of it. (It is an excellent union plan administered by Blue Shield under which Dr. Kline is a PPO provider. Not only is cataract surgery covered, but premium IOLs are also covered.) I e-mailed the documentation. I have never received a response from Alice, Sandy, or anyone in Dr. Kline's office.. Dr. Kline's staff certainly is doing him no favors in terms of bringing in business. I'll be going elsewhere. Am updating my review at this time because I did receive a telephone call from Lisa at Dr. Kline's office. She was very professional and accommodating. They are going to work with my insurance, and I now have an appointment for a consultation. If all goes well, I will update again for a yet more positive review. Reposting now after my cataract and premium IOL surgery. Surgery went well. Dr. Kline is wonderful and very personable. There were some bumps in the road with regard to how much I had to pay upfront before billing and insurance reimbursement, but Lisa was very thorough in billing my insurance and in assisting me to obtain all insurance reimbursement benefits due me. Consequently, I highly recommend Dr. Kline and further recommend that if you have insurance to work with Lisa to ensure proper insurance billing and any insurance benefits due you.
