Family Optometry of Irvine

If anyone needs an eye doctor I genuinely recommend Dr Jenny at Family Optometry of Irvine! It's in the Northpark area right by Pavilions. The whole staff is sweet and Dr Jenny is really detailed and attentive. I've been going to the eye Dr since I was a year old so I've seen quite a few. I feel like she listened and understood my eyes better than anyone before!

Her thoroughness is unparalleled, ensuring that every aspect of my eye health is meticulously examined and addressed. When it comes to contact lenses, her patience and expertise shine through, making the process seamless and comfortable. Beyond her professional acumen, Dr. Jenny Kim Ong's warm and amiable demeanor makes every visit a pleasant experience; she's my go-to eye care specialist. The front staff are just as nice and amazing as the optometrist. 10/10

I first was connected to this optometrist by a friend and met with Dr. Jenny Kim for a check-up and eye exam. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and answered questions thoroughly. She even explained why carrots and dark green vegetables preserve the health of the eyes in the long run. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience. 5/5

Dr. Susan Lee and her team was very gentle, knowledgeable and professional ! As a nervous new patient, not only they managed to get me in the same day for exam, but the whole process was easy and efficient. Highly recommend !

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Family Optometry of Irvine. I went there initially because they are a retailer (one of the very few) of Randolph Engineering frames. Despite it being an almost three hour drive each way for me, it was absolutely worth every minute of SoCal traffic. They contacted me in advance to make sure they had the frames in stock I wanted to try on because they knew I was driving a long way. It wasn't just a quick--in and out--exam like I'm used to at other optometrists, either; the doctor spent a long time discussing all the different facets of my eye health and answered all my questions. I had very specific and unusual lens requirements (brown photochromatic mineral glass), and they were able to find a lab that could custom make them for me. I also decided on a very specific frame configuration that they were able to special order. They were very patient with me and my many requests and kept me updated throughout the process. This is the first pair of glasses I've ever had that are simply perfect. I can't say enough positive things about Family Optometry of Irvine. I'll never go to another optometrist.

I've been into posting reviews on Yelp a lot lately but now I'm take a stab at leaving reviews with Google! We have been coming to this establishment for 8 years and it's never disappointed us one bit! My wife and kids both wear glasses and every time we need updates or replacement, they're always there to help. Shout to the staff up front and the doctors! Very professional and always with a smile! Highly recommend these folks to anyone in the area getting their glasses on
