Eye Center of La Jolla

Simply excellent and meticulous service! I've never experienced such a thorough yearly eye exam! The staff at the front was incredibly helpful and friendly. Dr. Alborzian is extremely thorough, very knowledgeable, laid back, has a sense of humor and super polite. He easily translates more complicated concepts into simple ideas that even I can understand. I have some bad contacts habits and he didn't lecture me about them but instead offered alternative products that would fit my lifestyle. He's genuinely interested in getting you what you need and making sure you are happy. I can't say how much of a hidden gem Eye Center of La Jolla is. I almost didn't write this review because I didn't want others to find out about the place and make it difficult to get an appointment! Go, and for once, have a pleasant experience!

I did my homework about which doctor I wanted and finally found one with all 5 star reviews, Dr. Alborzian, and once I saw that I knew this was the guy for me. After visiting and having cataract surgery I am happy to be able to add my name to the big list of happy patients he has. I was extremely happy with him as a doctor, a person and someone who truly cares. He gets 5 stars from me as well. Excellent Its been 2 years since I had this done and one cataract has now failed. I'm not so keen any more on this doctor

What a great experience! Dr. Alborzian is the best. I came from Cincinnati after finding him through MediBid. This was elective lens replacement and all went well. Also the surgery center he uses is great. My cost was about 1/2 of what I would have paid at home. Thanks again for a perfect experience Dr. Alborzian and staff.

Got LASIK from Dr. Alborzian. He did a lot of preliminary testing and consultation, and we worked out a way to maximize the effects of the procedure long term. Surgery was quick and easy, and lots of followup visits to make sure I was on track. I'm 3 months out from surgery and extremely happy with the results. Everyone in the office was friendly and professional.

Dr. Alborzian is my eye surgeon who in June 2015 did a successful cataract surgery on my right eye. Dr. Alborzian came highly recommended to me and with good reason. He is thorough, patient, kind, caring and welcomes questions and takes the time to answer them. You never feel like you are one of many patients when he is with you he is 100 percent there for you. He took the time to explain the surgery, the right lens for me and explained the differences. I put this procedure off for three years as I had a bad experience several years back with another Dr. who used a multifocal lens. This surgery with Dr. Alborzian was quick, easy, and very successful. He used the nanoflex mono lens which I highly recommend. I can not believe how clearly I see with this lens. If I had known about and gone to Dr. Alborrzian first I would have great vision in both eyes. Please get all the facts before using a multifocal lens!! Look up the success rates and failures. I highly recommend Dr. Alborzian, his staff, surgery center and the mono nanoflex lens.

Dr. Alborzian and his staff were very professional and available. Dr. A did a very thorough examination and provided me with all the information I needed to make an informed decision regarding my care. I am still amazed that I can now go through my day w/o the need for vision correction after so many years!

Dr. Alborzian was recommended to me by a friend who works with many different ophthalmologists. I was a bit concerned about having eye surgery and Dr. Alborzian covered ALL OF MY OPTIONS with such patience and detail. He gives you all the freedom to make the choice you're most comfortable with by giving you all the pros and cons; but most importantly, never compromising the quality of his care to his patients with his extensive knowledge and experience. I opted for PRK vs. LASIK and the recovery went so well I didn't even need pain meds - only eye drops. He went through every possible scenario and his thoroughness paid off. My vision developed and recovered rather quickly to 20/10. Needless to say, I've recommended him and stand by the quality of his results and his genuine patient care!

Dr. GORDON performed my eye surgery over 30 years ago and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I highly recommend Dr. GORDON as he will do a thorough evaluation of your eyes before doing the surgery. A consummate professional that he is.
