Over a month ago, I met with Dr. Nguyen for a contact lens fitting after finding this business on Yelp. Decided to take a chance on someone new instead of going back to my usual optometrist who is a much further drive. So glad I did, as I really love this office and was quite impressed by Dr. Nguyen. Very professional, very skilled, provided a lot of information about contact lens choices. Took the time to explain all options and allowed me to try multiple brands before selecting one for the prescription.
I learned that this is a family business and it shows--- they put a lot of care into their work. Also was very easy to reach them days later to get the prescription I wanted. The front desk people were as friendly, efficient and committed to the patient as the doctor. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend this office.

I came in for an exam to get prescription for glasses and contacts. The doctor and everyone was super friendly. I felt heard about my most recent concerns and was provided with options. There was also no wait time. I was seen right away.
Joann helped me get checked out and helped me select my glasses. Picking glasses is always such a tough process for me, but her and the staff made it a much more smooth and even a bit of a fun process. Joann was patient and detailed with prices, discounts and other information. I was also very appreciative that I wasn't rush considering it was almost end of day.

Literally the best eye center I've ever been to. I have struggled for a decade to find contacts I could wear. One visit and he had me set up with a brand I love and I can wear them daily. My life has been changed. He also suggested mono-vision which has been a game changer that not one other doc has offered. Amazing care and staff. Today I ran out of contacts without realizing I was low. They gave me enough samples to get through til mine come and I was able to order the new glasses I needed in ten min. You literally cannot beat this place.

I recently saw Dr. Nguyen for an eye exam and was pleasantly surprised at the new tech that he and Dr. Pack are using in their office. It's honestly very refreshing that you don't have to get air shot straight into your eye and you find out things when it's too late. Amazing preventative care.
On top of that, he took his time to make sure all my questions were answered and I understood why and what was going on, as well as what he was looking for throughout the process.
When I compare it to my previous experiences at Costco eyecare, it was not even close to the care Dr. Nguyen provides. Totally worth the extra care and time they take at this office! Thanks and looking forward to coming back :)

This is a delightful, modern, clean, nicely decorated Eyecare office in downtown La Jolla. Drs. Nguyen and Pack along with their team are professional and attentive. They take the time to get to know their patients and using the latest technology they're able to identify potential issues with precision and address them as early as possible.
A big plus - I usually find parking available right out front on Pearl Street.

Overall I am extremely happy with the service and competence of all the staff, especially Dr. Alyssa Pack. Well worth the travel time for a superior experience!
