This review is for Dr. Perry, he gets the whole 5 stars! He's been my mom's eye Dr for over 20 years! He's an amazing ophthalmologist! He genuinely cares for his patients, explains everything thoroughly. As far as front office experience, I'll give them zero stars!! The office people are always rude and unprofessional. I've experienced it and I've seen it how the front office acts with patients! Other than that my mom is willing to put up with this issue just to see Dr. Perry!

I had an appointment scheduled at this office but unfortunately did not end up seeing the doctor due to how the appointment was handled. First, I never received a confirmation call for my appointment. I had to call the office myself to confirm the time and make sure the appointment was still happening. When I arrived and checked in, I asked whether the doctor was running on time. The staff told me that the doctor was on schedule. However, 20 minutes later I still had not been called in. During that time, I learned that two patients ahead of me had 1:00 pm appointments and had not yet been seen, even though it was already around 1:30 pm. I asked the front desk about my wait time and explained that I needed to leave by 2:00 pm. I was told not to worry and that they would do their best, but by 1:35 pm it was clear the schedule was significantly behind. I didn't feel comfortable rushing through a medical appointment, so I decided to leave. It would have been much more professional to notify patients in advance if the doctor was running behind rather than telling patients the doctor was on time. Additionally, the check-in process seemed disorganized. No one asked me to fill out any paperwork or requested my driver's license. Overall, the front desk service and communication were very poor, which made for a frustrating experience.

I am 95 years old, and this is the worst place I have ever been. Every single time I visit Eye Equity in La Jolla, they make me wait around an hour just to be checked in, and that's after I complain at the 40 minute mark. It's not just me, they treat everyone the same way. The staff are unhelpful, dismissive, and downright rude. There is absolutely no respect for patients time or comfort. I wouldn't recommend this place even to my worst enemy. I have never written a bad review before, but I felt I needed to speak up. This place should be reported. Shameful.

First appointment with Dr Pratt was horrible. I was called back an hour after arriving. They couldn't do all the tests in one day, apparently, so I had to go back. After waiting an hour I asked the receptionist if I could reschedule so I wouldn't have to wait long again. Her response was that Dr Pratt does not like to show up on time. She said they TRIPLE BOOK appointment times on purpose. I made the appointment anyway. And now I just got a text with no explanation or anything, saying my appointment is canceled. Absolutely horrible to deal with. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! GO ELSEWHERE!!!

At all there is no management in this clinic. It takes 3 hours 4 hours waiting in the lobby however when you have appointment. They wasting the time. But if you came late for 10 minute they cancel your appointment. Right now I am waiting for 2 hours but still I am waiting. Here is missy just wasting the time.

Excellent doctors and staff, so gracious and kind and patient. I have had difficulties previously with being required to wait over an hour past my appointment time. I have almost changed doctors due to this horrible situation. But, alas today I only had to wait 5 minutes before being called in. I will remain with Acuity eye group and Dr. Zhao.

Staff are friendly, one thing I would like to comment on is that they seldom return calls, even though you leave a message, and they would change the appointment without notifying you about the reason, happened to us, I complained about it, but the only reason is the Doctor is on leave that day they assigned you the appointment. We went and was told the doctor was on leave that day.

Terrible clinic. The lady at registration is extremely rude and uncaring. The appointment scheduling service is awful. They don't respect your time and can make you wait for hours. And they wasted my time with checking my vision when I came here with inflammation. I scheduled an appointment for 1:15 and was waiting for HOURS! Please, don't waste your time to come here, find better places.
