Dr, Roxana Y. Godiwalla is the worst eye doctor I've ever seen. Don't waste your time. She's more inclined on passing off unnecessary prescriptions and getting a kick back from the pharmaceutical reps then actually helping... She's very short with her answers and doesn't explain anything or give you options. Her personality is dry and robotic and has a hard time connecting with her patients... She also failed to wear latex gloves when touching my face and eyes. Their was a full box on the counter next to her... Made feel very uncomfortable. I went to another Eye doctor and I was informed that nothing was wrong and I didn't need any medication. Dr. Godiwalla is dishonest and hopefully changes her work ethic when it comes to her patients. I sincerely hope the practice will address this issue to ensure all patients receive honest and transparent care in the future.

Total disappointment-- Very poor communications and customer service- I tried to reach out to them to discuss my concerns and didn't get a response- I wasted 3 days and 2 copayments and a useless prescription for Cataract medications for a surgical procedure which became a nightmare-- on the road for a 1:40 check in- and was informed there would be a 3 hour delay- my options were to return home for 3 hours or procede to Escondido and sit for 3 hours-- no food or drink. This would result in a return trip, after surgery, at approximately 5 to 6 PM. We don't like to drive in the dark and pre dinner plans- food in the oven-not workable- I tried to contact the scheduler 3 times , no success- left my number- callback no help!!!- No explanation, No apology-- Sorry I ever went there-- Read the Reviews -As I said-I emailed customer care to resolve-- no response!!

They don't notify you when your glasses are ready. It took them 5 months to get the glasses I order to me. I would call, and I was told it was not ready. Today I called and I was told my glasses been there, "whoever ever I talk to didn't bother reading the note. If you're looking for organization don't bother going to this office. It's busy, and you will be sitting around waiting for service.

I was given a few different prescriptions. The first set of glasses came in and I couldn't see out of them. The person helping me told me I had to take the glasses and wear them for 2 weeks before any adjustments could be made. I said aren't glasses supposed to help you see better?!? I cannot not see out of these! Someone finally understood and got me to see doctor again to see what happened. Sent glasses back again. Now the bifocal was in my straight line of sight. Sent back again. I pick up glasses and 3 days later I am driving and the street signs are not focus. I go back. They act like I am asking too much. I said I could see out of my old prescription better, so they are making a pair from my old prescription. We started this process in May. It is now December and still no glasses. Says they are open til 5pm. I got here at 4:42 and they are all locked up. Why don't you call ??? I have left a couple of messages and no one returns calls. Only reason I am not giving a 1 star is because people have been nice.

I was very, very impressed with the facility and the services from everyone from the ladies to the doctor super friendly, pretty quick timeframe and I would recommend this to everybody and their grandma's!.. so I'm giving this place a 10 star across the board and again I can't say enough nice things about Acuity eye ware ! Love em!!

I think the doctors here are pretty good, but the office seems to be understaffed. After a reexam on 5/29/2025 to correct a bad prescription from an earlier visit, they were supposed to send my glasses back to be remade to the new prescription. They said they'd call when the new glasses came in. They may have said it would be 4 or 5 weeks? I don't know. Well, on Monday 7/14/2025 I called inquiring about the glasses. They said they'd check and call me back. No callback. I called again on Wednesday 7/16, and the woman said she was having computer trouble, but would check and call me back. No callback. On Friday 7/18/2025 I called again. Call went directly to hold. After 5 minutes someone finally picked up and asked if I was some particular person's name. I said "No, I just called and have been waiting..." and she put me back on hold. I hung up, and am now writing this review. I am not happy. It has now been 7 weeks since they sent the glasses back. I called one more time today, and finally had some success. It turned out the lab had broken my frame, and was waiting for a replacement, so I suspect that this unusual occurrence is why there was such a delay and disconnect. They were very helpful on this call, finally. So I'm changing my rating to four stars from two, but ... I just read some of the other reviews here, and there are lots of negative ones. As someone with a masters in management, my education tells me it really is most likely just terrible upper management, and that the people here are just way overworked. A shame, because it's miserable for everyone, both them and us. When I first came to this practice in 2009, it was Barry Katzman's office. I think it was around 2019 that they got bought out by Acuity, which according to the google has over 50 locations. My guess is that the corporate overlords just keep everyone too busy. So, four stars because of the effort of the nice people trying to do their job, but I really wish Acuity would take these reviews to heart and make things better for their employees and customers, while they still have some.

Disappointing Experience I recently visited this eye care facility for an appointment, and while I appreciate the services they offer, I felt compelled to share my experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a few staff members at the front desk who seemed to approach their roles with a sense of reluctance, making it feel as though they were doing us a favor by assisting with our appointments. Despite arriving 20 minutes early for my scheduled appointment, I ended up waiting an hour and ten minutes before being seen. It appeared that the clinic was overbooked, which contributed to the lengthy delay. I find it interesting that there are strict policies in place for patients who arrive late, yet there seems to be little accountability for delays on the clinic's side. I believe there is a need for a shift in mindset regarding patient care and scheduling. It would be beneficial for the management to address these issues rather than simply responding to feedback with apologies. This was my second visit within a month, and unfortunately, I did not notice any improvements in the overall experience. I hope that my feedback can contribute to positive changes in the future.
