Have always been happy with their service until now. They now do a new eye imaging, but they don't tell you until you check out that there is an extra fee for this and they never asked if it was something I wanted done at an additional cost. Also, although I've been wearing contacts for several years, he did not do a contact exam. I didn't think about it until I was leaving and they handed my my eyeglass prescription (which was unchanged). They wanted to charge me $60 just for them to give me a prescription for contacts. Needless to say, they have lost my business. Extremely disappointed!

I no longer feel comfortable going to Peninsula Laser Eye Medical Group based on my experiences over the past two years. Last year I was given a prescription for glasses that turned out to be incorrect. I only realized this after spending over $300 on lenses that did not work for me. When I returned to have the prescription checked I was charged again and billed for an additional "dry eye" evaluation even though I do not recall discussing dry eye with the doctor during that visit. This year during what I expected to be a routine eye exam I was told I had to pay $40 for an "optic nerve picture" which is not covered by my vision plan even though my plan is one of the more comprehensive ones available. I was not given an explanation of a medical need for this test at that time. In my view it seemed like an unnecessary add-on for someone simply coming in for a basic check-up. Based on these experiences I personally feel that the focus here may be more on generating additional charges than on providing straightforward patient care. That is my opinion but it is the impression I was left with after two consecutive visits. I have decided I will not return and I cannot recommend this practice to others.

I have been Dr. Beers's patient since i was 5. My prescription got very high over the years with high astigmatism as well. After finding out I was not a candidate for Lasik, Dr. Beers told me about ICL. I had my ICL surgery almost 2 weeks ago and my life has completely changed. I have been a patient of Dr Beers and Peninsula Laser Eye Med Group for over 20 years. Recently, I had bilateral cataract surgery, using Light Adjustable Lenses. I am thrilled with the results. Dr. Beers and his team did a wonderful job, no complications, all went easily and smoothly. I can now read the tiniest print on the eye chart and my vision is 20/20 again without glasses or contacts!

I have been seeing Dr. Beers for over 35 years. Dr Beers has performed laser surgery, cataract surgery and regular checkups for my vision. He has been an outstanding physician to all my vision needs. His staff are all very professional. For many years I have been getting glasses and contacts through the Optical Shop. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Brenda is always cheerful and very detail oriented on everything she does. The optical shop is everything one would expect from a "small business"...personable and individual care for patients.

I had Dr. Beers perform my Lasik eye surgery close to 20 years ago. He was amazing and called me the evening after surgery (and he was traveling) to check-in on how I was feeling. Perfect vision, so happy. Fast forward, 2022 and now I needed cataract surgery. Again, the surgery was painless, fast and the team is all about the patient. I no longer need my reading glasses, the halos went away and driving at night is once again doable. Thanks to Dr. Beers and his great team. I am so grateful!

I chose Peninsula for my LASIK procedure with Dr. Dan Beers. Dr. Beers is so experienced and meticulously plans each of his procedures to be customized per patient. I felt in super good hands throughout, and I ended up seeing 20/15 post op!! It's one of the best decisions I've made in my life - thank you so much Dr. Beers! In addition to all the excellent staff, I wanted to specifically shout out Georgina - she was so helpful throughout my experience and enthusiastically comforting. She's one of the best!

Dr. Beers and his team members (special thanks to Georgina) provide exceptional care to their patients. I had an incredible experience getting my eyes done with the latest ICL technology. I love how ICL is reversible and much less invasive than the traditional lasik eye surgery. The procedure was painless and magical - from super high prescription to 2020 in 1 day.
