My husband had his SMILE surgery with Dr. Lee today. The clinic is clean and really pretty inside. The staff was so kind and attentive. Everything went smoothly from the moment we stepped into the clinic until we left. Dr. Lee was amazing and such a great professional. He gave clear instructions at all times and answered all of the questions we had. We were also given post-op care package. I had been worried about my husband getting eye surgery and we had researched extensively a lot of clinics before we found this one and chose it. Received ICL surgery. (Cornea was too thin for lasik). The process was quick, painless, and life-changing. Here's my STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS.
1) A week without contacts (only glasses) before the pre-op exam.

4) Surgery. They use numbing droplets for your eye + iodine to clean your eye and face. They give you Valium to relax. You're just lying down in a chair during the procedure. Each eye took about 5-7 minutes. You're just staring into a bright light the whole time. Don't really feel anything. One small slit, then he places the lens in and adjusts it. Done. You feel a slight pressure but its painless.
5) Post-surgery. Vision was blurry immediately after. I couldn't read anything on my phone. An hour later and for the next 10 hrs - the blurriness decreased so I could watch tv but cant drive. Overnight - my vision is super sharp and at 95% and I can return to my normal routine! Driving/showering/gym.
Overall highly recommend ICL. The doctor + assistants were incredibly friendly :)

I live in Las Vegas and came all the way out here just to see his team. Honestly, I could not by happier with my entire procedure there. Pre-op was painless and efficient and they work well with you regarding payment plans. I never felt rushed or pressured during the whole process. I was recommended to see Dr Paul C Lee by three cousins who said their corrective vision surgeries changed their life. And I absolutely agree.
I had been wearing glasses for so long and on my last year of wearing them, the issues were just piling up for me. Eye strain, heaviness of the eyeglasses despite the compressed lenses, and fogging & smudging. I book a consultation and was happy to hear that I was a candidate for ICL surgery. That option sounded great for my needs. The process of booking surgery, after care, and follow up was very streamlined.
Also, the staff at the Pasadena office has been helpful, kind, and informative.
Definitely recommend this office to anyone. It's always worth booking a consultation at the very least, just to learn more about the procedures and ask questions.
