Focus Eye Center

Focus eye center is a great place to take care of your cataracts. Dr. Khine and Dr. Jones are very responsible, kind, and thorough. The staff and especially Madison are really nice and hardworking. I did both my cataract surgery for both eyes here with Dr. Khine because I couldn't pass my DMV exam, but now I can see so clearly. I have no more problems for the rest of my life. I highly recommend you come here to get your eyes checked because your eyes are so important for your whole life. I came to choose Dr. Bryan Jones through the UHC app and was satisfied with his 5 star reviews. I am glad I did, First visit was easy and very candid and he explained to me in detail what needed to be done and I also asked about the cost. I appreciate that he actually answered my emails and was reassuring during the whole process, he never did a hard sell on the cataract surgery but he assured me it will be good for me. I had my operation 11/17 scheduled at 9;30 and was out of Arcadia outpatient center before noon. I went home and saw the difference right away. . Next day was follow up and I already have 20/20 on my left eye, I have one more cataract surgery scheduled by 12:1 and is excited to see clearly on both eyes. The Focus Eye Center facility is clean and all the staff are all very nice. I also had consultations with Dr. Khine who also was professional and kind. I recommend anyone who is looking for cataract surgery Dr. Jones.

I recently moved to Pasadena from Canada, and I've had glaucoma since I was a baby. My optometrist referred me to Dr. Khine, and I'm so grateful she did. Dr. Khine takes such incredible care of her patients -- you can truly feel how much heart she puts into her work, and it's such a comforting feeling. I just went through a glaucoma crisis, and she did absolutely everything she could to help me, and it worked. I felt completely safe and in good hands the whole time. Thank you so much, Dr. Khine.

Dr Kay T Khine is my Ophthalmologist who I just had cataract surgery a couple a weeks ago. I want to say what a wonderful experience I had her doing the surgery. Everything went smoothly and prior to the surgery she explained the whole procedure which made me feel comfortable Thanks Dr Khine!!

Was referred here for possible Glaucoma. Dr. Khine and staff were absolutely amazing - very professional and courteous. I arrived a few minutes early and expected to wait the generally accepted 30 minutes 'just because' - but they took me right in and performed all the tests quickly and efficiently. All of their equipment seems to be state-of-the-art compared to my normal optometrist. Everyone was so easy to deal with. The Dr. even apologized for any delay because they were short-staffed (there was no delay). If only all medical offices were this efficient!

I had irritation in my eye for a few days and noticed a small cyst on the white part of my eye. Naturally, I freaked out. A CYST? On my EYEBALL?! Fortunately, a good friend mentioned Dr. Jones to me previously, and I was able to make a same-day appointment with him. He assured me that the cyst wasn't serious and gave me a few options for treatment. We opted for the medical option (steroid drops), and the cyst went away after a few weeks. However, there was still irritation on that part of the eye. Dr. Jones mentioned it's part of a larger issue -- that I have bumps under my eyelids due to chronic contact lens wear -- and we need to treat that. I've always had what I thought was dry eyes due to excessive contact use, as diagnosed by other optometrists and ophthalmologists. However, Dr. Jones noted that my eyes aren't actually that dry, and much of my irritation is due to the friction that caused bumps under my eyelids, which originated from the contact use. Dr. Jones has been treating me for the past 6 weeks and my eyes are feeling much better. I like that he has a game-plan for my eyes and we're approaching the issues from multiple angles. His office has been reasonable as well, since I'm not going through my regular insurance. Lastly, the staff is friendly and extremely responsive. They can even communicate through text. If you want comprehensive eye care, look no further than Focus Eye Center!

Feel very lucky to be referred to Dr. Khine for glaucoma care after moving to Pasadena in 2023. From my first visit, I could tell Dr. Khine really cares about her patients: examinations are thorough, and the whole team is friendly, attentive, and kind. I had a lot of trouble with eye dryness and irritation with my medicinal eyedrops, and Dr. Khine helped me find preservative free eyedrops that are so much better suited for my eyes than previous eyedrops - no redness/dryness/irritation now! Dr. Khine takes a vested interest in my life beyond my eye care, she always asks about my artwork/career, which makes me feel like more than 'just a patient.' Really appreciate all aspects of this care team! Thank you!

At Focus Eye Center every visit I've had has been a pleasant one and I look forward to each upcoming appointment. Dr. Khine and Dr. Jones are very caring, cheerful, and nice. In fact, everyone who works there is too! And they are nice to my bearded dragon as well! Maddie always helps me to stay supplied with medications, and Dr.Khine and Dr. Jones are both very skilled. They are young and well-versed in the latest advances in the field of eye treatment. I am extremely delighted with the outcome of my treatment plan. It has worked out beautifully.
