I had an excellent experience with Dr. Ngai and his staff. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, professional, and welcoming. The front desk made the check-in process smooth and efficient, and the assistants were kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Ngai took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel comfortable throughout the exam. He was thorough, attentive, and genuinely cared about our concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Ngai and his team to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist who combines expertise with compassion. Truly a five-star experience!

From start to finish, Sequoia Eye Group was one of the most comprehensive, helpful, and well-functioning establishments I have ever had the pleasure of receiving care from. I rarely write reviews, but am going out of my way to do so based on my overwhelmingly positive experience. A few weeks ago, I had been dealing with extreme discomfort in my right eye, but couldn't do anything about it because I was in transit back to the Bay Area. When I got here, I sought assistance as soon as I realized that the constant sensation of being scratched every time I blinked was only getting worse. The office member I spoke to kindly informed me that I wouldn't be able to be seen until later that same morning (I called right when they opened at 8am), but she referred me to multiple peripheral offices with particular doctor recommendations, which was already helpful. Within the hour, however, she called me back and informed me that their timeline had changed and that I could come in immediately. During that call, she also made sure to ensure that my insurance was compliant and well-received on their end, eliminating any future work on my end. Her demeanor was kind and attentive throughout our conversations, and came through in person when I walked in about 15 minutes after that. This comprehensive thoughtfulness was also a feature of all subsequent interactions with the ophthalmological assistants and doctor I spoke to, and I was able to comfortably receive the care and the much-appreciated diagnosis I needed. Finally, the eye drops I was prescribed were already approved by their office and in compliance with my insurance upon my arrival to the pharmacy. Thank you to Sequoia Eye Group and all of the staff I interacted with for a rare combination of warmth, empathy, and attention to detail that created an exceptional experience.

Fantastic experience, cool equipment, and modern procedures. None better! Got my 2 cataracts done L+R and the surgery is at Mills Peninsula. Awesome people, clean and efficient. Cataract surgery is life transforming, don't wait, do it now.

Dr. Ngai has truly been one of the best doctors we've ever met. He was incredibly kind and accommodating with my mom's tight schedule, performed her cataract surgery with exceptional skill, and consistently kept us informed about every step and what to expect. Thanks to his care, what could have been a stressful experience turned into something smooth, reassuring, and even pleasant for my mom.

Dr. Ngai is an excellent ophthalmologist and is just a really decent human being. I'm confident that he's always looking out for the best interest of my eye health, and I feel treated like family whenever I walk into the office. I have a feeling that people in the area are quickly finding out about Dr. Ngai as his office seems to be getting more and more popular every time I come in. Sometimes there can be a slight wait, but it's definitely nothing compared to the bigger clinics and hospitals like Stanford or Sutter. I know it's because he is such a caring person and works hard to explain testing/treatments and cater to the needs of every patient. This has been my experience, and the other patients who I chat with think the same. I previously went to another eye MD in the Peninsula and that Dr. does NOT even come close to the level of professionalism, competency, and bedside manner that Dr. Ngai posesses. No need to look elsewhere, Dr. Ngai is the best!

I have been going to Dr. Ngai since he began practicing in Redwood City. I'm so grateful for his depth of knowledge, thoroughness and especially his skill for communicating and simplifying what, at times, can be complex medical information. The office is well organized, his staff is always very pleasant, professional and off-the-charts efficient.

I am generally an apprehensive patient, but when I met with Dr. Ngai and his team I felt immediately at ease. I knew I was in great hands for my cataract surgery. The entire process from pre-operation to post operation was very easy and seamless. Anyone who is needing cataract surgery should look no further than Dr. Ngai. My experience with Dr Ngai has been nothing short of a miracle. I was blind in my right eye for the last few years and now after my cataract surgery with Dr Ngai, I am able to see 20/20! Prior to seeing Dr.Ngai, I saw another ophthalmologist in San Carlos who did not instill any confidence about whether he was doing whats best for my eye care. He pretty much told me to read a pamphlet and to come back. Never took the time to explain anything and when I went back he told me I would need to pay $3000 for a lens that would not be covered by my insurance. Needless to say, searched online for another ophthalmologist and so glad I found Dr Ngai. The staff and Dr Ngai from start to finish was very professional and warm. Dr Ngai explained my diagnoses very thoroughly and about getting cataract surgery that is also covered by Medicare. I'm beyond grateful for finding Dr Ngai for my eye care as now I'm able to live my life without glasses and do my work (I'm a concrete pumper) without being afraid I would hurt someone due to my low vision. Thank you Dr Ngai and staff-I cannot thank you all enough for restoring my eyesight and letting me live my life to my fullest potential. The only regret I have to not having come in sooner to see Dr. Ngai.
